Complete The Pattern - Fall Learning | Apple Activities | Math Center
By Morgan Jeffries
Finish The Pattern:
This apple themed math activity focuses on continuing and completing different patterns. It teaches students how to identify a sequence and continue it using different colored apples. There are #6 different apple colors and the patterns range from easy to more difficult to identify and follow. There are a total of #113 different patterns for your students to complete. This is a great independent math activity to use during small groups.
I would print and laminate this activity for better durability and then store the remaining apple pieces you cut out in a container of some sort so they don’t get lossed after you cut them out.
I hope you and your students enjoy this product!

Montessori Winter Math Games: Kindergarten Number Sense to 100, Add to Make 10
By Jessica Renee Montessori - JRMontessori
Are you looking for the perfect way to delight your little learners this holiday season? This bundle includes 2 winter math activities and 10 beautiful math inspired snowflake images.
Snowman Math Activity
This Winter Math Activity – Making 10 Bead Stair Extension Game combines your students' love of snowmen with a fun way to practice math. This activity is perfect for the day before winter break, day after Christmas break, or any time you want to add a little winter fun!
Perfect for Montessori and lower elementary classrooms, this game brings the wintery outdoors inside and uses the colored bead stair to teach your students the combinations of numbers – 1-9 – which make ten. This is excellent preparation for linear addition with the Snake Game. Here’s a quick overview of the two activities included:
Activity 1: Match the Snowman Heads and Bodies: Add to the winter festivities with this fun matching game. Students need to match the snowmen heads and bodies in a way that help them in making ten. This also includes a handy ‘control of error’ to guarantee the answers are correct.
Activity 2: Create Combinations of 10 and Write Down the Equations: All your students need to do is create combinations of numbers which make ten (1 + 9, 4 + 6) and write down the equations. This a great way not only to practice math, but also to help your students better develop their skill in writing equations.
Give your students a winter-themed math lesson that will make the holidays extra festive this year. It’s a great way to combine learning and fun!
Christmas Lights Activity
Make winter math activities even more fun in your classroom with Winter Montessori Math Game - Count & Color the Christmas Lights! With this resource, you can easily bring a fun twist on the classic Montessori Snake Game to your winter shelf work and centers. This energizing, engaging game incorporates the Montessori bead stair concept with math principles like counting and subitizing for a game that students will love!
In this printable set, you'll get recording sheets for both individual and partner versions of the game, as well as colored and Christmas tree bead stair cards. All components of the game are 8.5" x 11", so you can easily print them out to use. For materials, all you need are dice, bead bars, and colored pencils- easy!
Transform the energy of your classroom with this positive counting and coloring game. Students will roll the dice and copy out their tree's equation, while reinforcing the quantity of 100, one-to-one correspondence, and subitizing. And if you're feeling extra festive, you can use the original version as a fun 100 day activity!
Teachers, it's time to add a creative and engaging twist to your winter math lesson plans. Make the most of your shelf work and centers with the Winter Montessori Math Game - Count & Color the Christmas Lights!
Snowflake Clip Art
This is a set of fun Montessori-inspired snowflakes. Bead bars from the Bead Stair are incorporated into each snowflake design.
Use this Montessori-inspired clip art to make your own digital or printable materials (commercial use is welcome). Brighten up your slideshows, SMART Board lessons, posters, cards, and worksheets with these graphics.
TRY THIS! Insert the images into a Word or Pages file (a 7.5"x7.5" square works well), print them out, and have your children place the actual bead bars on top of the printed snowflake. For an extra challenge they can use the bead bars to recreate the snowflake beside the image.

Abacus Maze-Numbers 0 to 4 Mazes
By Lynette Yung
Counting and coloring Numbers 0 to 4 on the abacus in a maze. These number sense mazes are perfect for pre-k and kindergarten to gain awareness of the numbers 0–4. Students practice number recognition on both the numeral and the abacus. This also encourages students to subitize and use number sense.
There are 4 different mazes, and answer key.
What is subitizing?
Subitizing is the ability to quickly recognize the number of objects in a small group without counting them individually. It's essentially the ability to perceive the quantity of objects at a glance. This skill is particularly evident with small numbers, typically up to around 5 or 6 objects in this activity, 0–4.
What is number sense?
Number sense is the ability to identify and conceptualize numbers, like 1, 2, 3. The activity helps compare the abacus beads with the numerals.
