Kindergarten Numbers Centers (by price, low to high)

This is a free example of our Counting Puzzle Strips. A large image is cut into strips. When the strips are placed in order, a picture is revealed. Our Full version is available here

This product is a digital puzzle that requires students to complete 50 basic addition fact fluency problems. The link to the digital puzzle is on a clickable PDF that you would download once purchased. Students will put the answers in the answer box. This activity is no prep and is self checking. If the student puts the correct answer in, the answer box will turn green and a piece of the digital puzzle will appear in the green box to the right. In addition to this, an emoji pops up next to the correct answer. If the student puts in the wrong answer, the answer box will turn red and no puzzle piece will appear. Students will know that they have completed the activity correctly when all answer boxes are green and all 50 puzzle pieces are there, forming a picture of a panda eating ice cream on the beach.

This product would be great for fast finishers, independent practice, a time filler activity, day before break activity, center work, etc. Students will love this activity and the challenge of completing the puzzle!

Subitizing is the skill of instantly recognizing a quantity without having to count each object. The skill of subitizing aids in students’ number sense development. To play - students will place cards face down on the playing surface. Player one selects two cards, attempting to make a match. If a match is made the player will keep the two cards. Player two continues with their turn. As students play the memory game, encourage students to say something like, “I know this is 9 because I see a group of 5 and a group of 4.” Or “This is 6 because two groups of 3 equal 6.”

90th Day of School Activity - Roll to 90: Use this 90-chart game to practice counting to 120 and place value in math centers, whole group fun, or small groups! Students will use estimation before beginning the game to predict how many rolls it will take them to get to 90. Estimation is also taught by comparing estimated versus actual results, so students will write their final results at the bottom of the page.
