Kindergarten Special Education Activities (by date, oldest first)

Students can use this blending board to "drive" small cars to each letter, stopping at the circles to state the letter sounds. Students can "drive" the cars faster or more slowly to practice blending sounds to make words.

Use these task cards for math centers. Students can match the word problem to the picture equation and fill in their answers on the answer sheet provided. Equations cover numbers 1-10. Valentine's Day Reading Comprehension and Sequencing Craft

Use with the book There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Rose. Students can read the story and use the picture "leaves" to sequence the events of the story as they add leaves to their rose.

Includes a differentiated sequencing assessment (fill in the blank and multiple choice versions) along with a list of seven easy ways to differentiate instruction with this resource.

Use this poster to help your students learn how to identify if a word problem is calling for addition or subtraction. Students will roll a die, count the dots, and color in a box above the corresponding number. Students can count how many times each number was rolled to find which had the most and fewest rolls.

Use these pages to send home updates and show how much your students are growing month to month. This super sight word game is a great way to get your little super heroes excited about reading! Game cards include pre-primer, primer, first grade, and second grade Dolch sight words, each marked for easy differentiation based on level. Download, print, laminate, and cut the cards and spinner. Students will spin and land on a number (one or two to practice as many words as possible). Some spaces say "draw 2." That means the student will draw and read two cards. On "action" spaces, you get to choose what the student can do. Use these spaces as an extra turn, lose a turn, or a battle! In a battle, each student can choose a card and attempt to read it.
