Dictation is a no-prep phonics practice that helps students practice words within a specific phonics pattern.
This can be used 3 or 5 days a week depending on your classes' needs and time availability.
It is best used as a guided practice but can be used as quick practice, assessment, or review.
So, if you are a teacher tired of laboring over teaching phonics patterns that are forgotten by the next week and are hardly ever applied to their writing, give Dictation a try.
