This method aligns with Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) principles, emphasizing positive behavior management and creating a supportive learning atmosphere for all students.
Key Components
1. Whole class behavior management
At the heart of the "Include Every Student" strategy is positive behavior management. This approach focuses on recognizing and rewarding positive behaviors rather than solely addressing negative ones. By highlighting and celebrating responsible, respectful, kind, and organized actions, students are motivated to consistently display these behaviors.
2. PBIS Alignment
