These are a bit bigger so they won't fit in the holders from target but they are easy to laminate. Once you edit - print on your preferred paper (cardstock is my preference - I like Astrobrights), laminate and cut! Easy to cut - just cut across in the middle!

Students will be able to use these right away to help with their multiplication facts, place value and gives them an idea of what the cursive letters look like! There are 3 options! For the primary kiddos - numbers 1 -30 on the top and the primary alphabet on the bottom! I am using them in my fourth grade class and the students are already raving about how helpful they are - no more straining to see the posters!

Set #1: Great Depression and Of Mice and Men Graphic Organizer Packet

Students read two Common Lit articles and observe/analyze images related to the Great Depression and Migrant workers (Links to all images and articles are provided - actual articles are NOT included. only links).

Students will observe, read, analyze, and make evidence-based inferences related to the Great Depression and the lives of migrant workers. Students will then use these texts (articles and images) to make connections to the characters / events in the book Of Mice and Men. The graphic organizers require students to cite evidence from both the articles, images, and the book to support their analysis, conclusions, and observations.

✅ The two graphic organizers contain the same information, but one of them is differentiated for lower-level students.

✅ The differentiated version graphic organizer includes paraphrased, step-by-step instructions as well as examples of how to think about the information they observed in the images and read in the articles. These examples will increase their understanding of how to think about information and complete the graphic organizer appropriately.

Set #2: Great Depression, Dust Bowl and Migrant Workers Image Analysis Graphic Organizer Packet

These graphic organizers require students to analyze three images related to the Great Depression and Dust Bowl and draw evidence-based conclusions. The differentiated version graphic organizer includes scaffolding questions to help lower level students analyze the images and write about them. The graphic organizers also require students to cite evidence from the images to support their analysis/conclusions. The graphic organizers are visually appealing and eye catching!

These graphic organizers are excellent for Do Now, unit launch, groupwork, homework, independent work, and/or research activities. They can also be used to set a purpose for listening/watching video clips used to supplement lessons. It's a great tool to help build students' background/prior knowledge for upcoming units/topics related to the Great Depression and/or Dust Bowl.

This Primary Source Worksheet features a passage written by Robert M. La Follette in La Follette's Autobiography: A Personal Narrative of Political Experiences. The passage describes La Follette's early fight with the state legislature of Wisconsin when he served as governor. Students will be enlightened from learning about this quintessential Progressive Era political conflict. Three Questions follow the passage which direct students toward clear understanding of the passage.

Do you print out your student's writing and have them peer edit? Do you have students' correct sentences when teaching grammar? Then these are perfect for you. These are quick, easy editing marks students can use to correct writing or assist with grammar lessons. I print them out, number the back of them and laminate them.

I hand them out at the beginning of the year to keep in their writing binder. When we do Daily Language they use a red pen to edit the sentences and then rewrite the sentences correctly. When we peer edit I print their writing and they meet with a partner and peer edit each other's work using these correction marks.

I made these after realizing that my students in high school needed practice with the mechanics of how to construct a sentence before I could begin instructing them on best practices for structure in their essays. This is an assignment that asks students to identify 6 examples of adversity that the Wiley College Debate team had to overcome on the left, and explain how they did so using evidence from the movie on the right. Lastly, they are asked to make 2 connections to works of literature they've recently read.

I show this movie after reading a number of pieces from the 8th grade Pearson text about African Americans facing diversity, studying relevant court cases, and reading the novel "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry", but you could really have the students connect the movie back to whatever texts you're reading at the time that are relevant.
