Objective: The objective of the game "Oops" is to get your teammates to guess a word without using certain pre-defined words or phrases associated with it - these are called "Oopsies"

Gameplay:

1. The clue giver selects a number from the selection board, revealing the word to be described as well as the "oopsies" associated with it.
2. The clue giver must then describe the word without using any of the "oopsies".
3. The guessers on the team try to guess the word based on the clues given. The guesser sits with their back turned to the slide, while the clue giver faces the slide.
4. The guesser can make as many guesses as they want within 1 minute.
5. If a teammate guesses the word correctly, the team earns a point. However, if the clue giver uses an "oopsie," they forfeit a point.
6. After the minute is up or the word is correctly guessed, play passes to the next team.
7. Play continues back and forth until all the slides have been used or a set number of rounds has been completed.
8. The team with the most number of points wins.

Make learning about American history interesting with this no-prep digital escape game bundle.  The games includes access to a website where your students will hunt for the keys to unlock a set of locks.  Students will need to read the clues very carefully and watch videos, visit websites, and read texts to find the information they need to win the game.  Very easy to use - just send your students to the website and let them work!  Students can play individually or in teams.

Digital escape games are a fun way to start a unit, or to review at the end of a unit.  They can also be used to learn about a cultural or historical event.  This game will have your students reading carefully and paying attention to the smallest details in order to complete the challenge and unlock the locks.

It is important for students to develop strong work and life skills, as these skills are essential for success in their personal and professional lives. By mastering these skills, students can become more self-sufficient and confident in their ability to manage their lives and achieve their goals. Providing a comprehensive set of resources can help students with different learning styles and abilities to engage with these concepts and develop a stronger foundation for their future success in working and living independently. ✤The Google Slides activity is BEST assigned/presented in PRESENT mode, as this allows the students to self-check their answer and keep practicing until they get it correct!

You MUST be able to access/download/save to a Google Drive.**

✤ To Print Task Cards: The Task Cards, as downloaded, are 1/2 page which are great for students that need a larger size. To print 4x6 index card sized task cards, select "2 pages per sheet". To print 3x5 index card sized task cards, select "4 pages per sheet". These are not designed to print directly to index card template paper. What has worked best for my students was to print to on heavy duty card stock and laminate.

Boom Cards:
