It is not direct translation rather I focused in translating the stories in a way they feel right and are authentic.

Level 1 is intended for SPANISH 1- Focuses on preterite and imperfect tense identification, and Reading comprehension

Level 2 is intended for Spanish 2-4- Focuses on preterite and imperfect tense identification, answering questions in Spanish and a short writing assignment.

Level 3 is intended for Spanish 4-AP Span Lang

Focuses on preterite and imperfect tense identification, answering questions in Spanish and a map activity.

I wrote this story and I hope you really enjoy it!

Add interest and culture to your Spanish food units with this fun reading activity! Your students will enjoy practicing Spanish and learning about tapas with this reading passage about Kelly, a girl who has an exchange student from Spain living in her house. Kelly tries to make Susana feel at home by fixing gazpacho, but by the end of the story the gazpacho is all over the walls! Through this reading, your students will learn all about how to prepare this Spanish staple.

This story would work well for any unit over Spain or as a one or two day activity to learn more about tapas. This story is written mainly in the present tense with lots of high frequency vocabulary and cognates that can be used for all levels of Spanish.
