First Snow (Trans Siberian Orch) - ADVANCED BUCKET DRUMMING!
By Jason Litt
By popular request, here's an advanced arrangement of the holiday hit that'll sure to get your bucket drumming kids fired up, First Snow, by the Trans Siberian Orchestra!
There are four all-color coded slides along with the form identifiers listed next to each phrase. Discuss form with the students and teach them (by rote) the rhythms on the powerpoint with the corresponding repeats (most are repeated 3 or 4 times). Then, apply it to drums!
All regular notation is to be played on the buckets (or drums, or ground, however you wish), and the X notation (with a down stem) are played as stick clicks above their head (or you could apply it to a tambourine or other auxiliary instrument)
This version differs from the standard version with the implementation of sixteenth note patterns (which is great to work on with your kids for alternating hands!)
Here's the track so you can play along...

Head of the Table (Roman Reigns WWE) - BUCKET DRUMMING!
By Jason Litt

My Little Goldfish - A Late Beginner Piano Solo
By ZS Music Publishing
My Little Goldfish Is a 32 measure song about your pet goldfish who swims in the fishbowl saying “Blub! Blub!” The song is set in D Major and includes versions with accidentals and versions with a key signature. From the start, you can easily teach and review intervals with students such as steps and skips up to 5ths since the song begins with a descending motive with both hands and these intervals are included throughout the song as well. The song is structured so you can teach the first page of the song, then easily add in the second page even though there are some slight melodic differences.
Depending on where your student is at level wise, we’ve included two different versions of the song that you can use:
I hope you and your students have fun playing the song!
Did you know you can earn TeachShare credit for reviewing and rating resources?! It's true! If you find that you enjoy this song, please be sure to come back and provide your feedback so others teachers can find it and you can earn your credit!
Your Support of a small business is greatly appreciated!
This song is reproducible only by the original purchaser. If your colleagues like the song, be sure to tell them where you purchased it!
