Level Ups are a fun way to challenge your students to complete various levels of mastery on working with scientific notation. Aligned to the common core standards, Level Ups provide 5 levels of challenge for your students to complete, starting with pre-requisite place value and exponent property skills all the way up to operations with scientific notation and word problems.

Students start at level zero and work their way up to level 4, giving them accurate feedback on what they have mastered, and what they still need to work on. This lesson works as a great way to review scientific notation after teaching the concept, or as preparation for an upcoming assessment.

This activity includes:

• Suggested activity instructions (based on how I run this in my classroom).
• Five levels with 6 - 15 questions each.
• Complete answer keys for each level.

Ordering Numbers!

Halloween Ordering Numbers Math Station includes 24 themed cards with a a set of 4 numbers 100 and below on each card to put in order. You can decide if you want them to order from greatest to least or from least to greatest, or how about both for early finishers. Cut out cards and hang around the room. Have students take recording sheet on clipboard as they search for each "picture" and record their answer. You get 2 Sets of 12 cards. You can use each set at different times or pool them together for a larger set. Each set has a different colored border and it's own recording sheet. Practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with the Montessori Golden Beads task cards and booklets (a fun alternative to worksheets). Doing big operations with Montessori’s version of the Base Ten Blocks is the perfect way to develop concentration and a deep understanding of place value. You get large task cards , small task cards , and differentiated recording booklets . Everything is easy to prepare, engaging, and includes a control of error.

Lower elementary (and even some kindergarten) students can use the cards (small or large) to work with the materials and self-correct, and they can record their answers in the booklets. This will help them keep track of which questions they have completed and it's more fun than recording in a notebook or on a worksheet.

The large cards are 8.5" x 11." Yes, a full letter size paper! The small cards are 5.5" x 4.25." As for the booklets, each recording booklet has three different versions to help you differentiate for the children in your class. Each resource (small cards, large cards, and booklets) has the same questions so you can use the material for all of your students, no matter their level! If you have some students who are ready for Stamp Game operations, you can get the Stamp Game Version of this bundle, too. And you’ll love that they can do this work independently! No reading required!

Your students will love working independently or with a partner to complete the problems and check their answers on the back.
