Introducing the Rock’N’Rollin’ For Preschoolers book from ZS Music Publishing. Rock’N’Rollin’ For Preschoolers is a precursor to the Rock’N’Rollin’ Level 1 to prepare the younger drummer for their music career.

Rock’N’Rollin’ For Preschoolers is a scaffolded book that starts off by teaching Bass Drum and adds on instruments throughout the book. The book is designed for junior drum sets with the idea that these drum sets may or may not have three Tom Drums to accommodate all kinds of sets.

Students will gradually learn the instruments one by one and together. The layout of the concepts are:

• Sticks
• Bass Drum
• Snare Drum
• High Tom
• Mid Tom
• Low Tom
• Ride Cymbal (referred to “Cymbal” in the book).
• Hi-Hats

Upon completion of the book, students can graduate up to Rock’N’Rollin’ Level 1 or Level 1 Encore. If students move to Level 1 Encore, the back of the book is a section to prepare students for Level 1 Encore if they skip Rock’N’Rollin Level 1. For this section, there are 8 pages that have been pulled from Rock’N’Rollin Level 1.

In total, there are 33 “songs” in the book along with activities scattered through our including 4 pages for students to create their own beats.

Note, this book is only licensed for 1 student use only. Duplication is strictly prohibited. We do offer print versions and studio-licensed books as well.

Use this book to discuss anxiety and what your students can do to manage it when they experience it. Then sing the song and have the students literally rise up and then wave to each other when you are singing those lines to bring the class together as a community. Repeat as many times as necessary. Feel free to use with or without the book throughout the year. For students in grades PreK-3rd.

Felt-boards (or flannel boards) are a fabulous method of sharing music and rhythm with children by using visual props along with songs. My collection of songs and poems will help you to use your felt-board to its fullest potential. This set includes 30 songs and poems that are appropriate for preschool and kindergarten, and are perfect for circle time, group time or music class. I have included lots of old favorites, but some are new and fun songs and fingerplays that will enhance your curriculum.

The set includes more than a hundred adorable graphics which have recently been updated. All you have to do is print out the set and cut out the graphics. Make your ESL classroom look different from a regular education room by considering these multilingual musical instruments' names.

Each label takes up 1/4 of a page so they are nice and big, but not too obtrusive. There are 42 words for a total of 11 pages. Check out the preview of some pages in the pictures. They each feature the English name in big, bold black letters while the other languages are in a smaller font and in different colors. Listening Sheet - There are no wrong answers! Students can note how they feel and what they imagine while listening to a selected piece of music. Choose from musical instruments, nature scenes, colors, and more.

Weather & Feelings - Weather is a recurring theme in classical music. Does a musical piece remind the listener of a snowy day or a pleasant sunny afternoon? Students can select the weather symbols that come to mind. Is the music happy or sad? A set of emotional characters allows your group to pick the feelings that best relate to a piece of music.

Additional, optional activities are also included for many of the units, and these can be used to help fill your days if needed.

This curriculum supports the Next Generation Science Standards for kindergarten.
