Montessori Math Teen Numbers Practice, Ordering Numbers Least to Greatest

The teen numbers can definitely be tricky! This is a fun extension activity that reinforces numeral and quantity for numbers from 11–19. Your kindergarten and lower elementary children will love these matching "puzzles" because it's super fun to see the photo that emerges when they've matched everything correctly. The photo is the control of error that is the hallmark of quality Montessori materials!
This set of puzzles has 4 matching tasks per puzzle and deals with numbers from 11–19. You can also buy another set of these number puzzles to complement the Tens Boards or numbers 1–10.

Winter Math Activity - Montessori Making 10 Bead Stair Snowman Extension Game

Are you looking for the perfect way to delight your little learners this holiday season? This Winter Math Activity – Montessori Making 10 Bead Stair Snowman Extension Game combines their love of snowmen with a fun way to practice math. This activity is perfect for the day before winter break, day after Christmas break, or any time you want to add a little winter fun!
Perfect for Montessori and lower elementary classrooms, this game brings the wintery outdoors inside and uses the colored bead stair to teach your students the combinations of numbers – 1-9 – which make ten. This is excellent preparation for linear addition with the Snake Game. Here’s a quick overview of the two activities included:
Activity 1: Match the Snowman Heads and Bodies: Add to the winter festivities with this fun matching game. Students need to match the snowmen heads and bodies in a way that help them in making ten. This also includes a handy ‘control of error’ to guarantee the answers are correct.
Activity 2: Create Combinations of 10 and Write Down the Equations: All your students need to do is create combinations of numbers which make ten (1 + 9, 4 + 6) and write down the equations. This a great way not only to practice math, but also to help your students better develop their skill in writing equations.
Give your students a winter-themed math lesson that will make the holidays extra festive this year. It’s a great way to combine learning and fun!
