This fun and engaging deck of 20 CARDS will reinforce PHONEMIC AWARENESS SKILLS in students as they work independently to identify rhyming words.

Each card includes a LARGER PICTURE and three SMALLER, MULTIPLE-CHOICE PICTURES. Students are required to select the picture in the group of three that rhymes with the first picture.

AUDIO is provided for all items and the first card provides AUDIO DIRECTIONS.

Immediate FEEDBACK is provided, and students will be automatically directed to the next card once the correct answer has been chosen.

PHONEMIC AWARENESS, or the ability to MANIPULATE INDIVIDUAL SOUNDS OR PHONEMES within words, is a critical skill for children to learn prior to decoding and spelling.

This is a fun, motivating, hands on activity that will help students with short vowel sounds. Students can use clothespins to clip the short vowel sound they hear.You could also use this activity as a pocket chart literacy center. Recording sheets are included.
