There are six CVC Picture Flip Card activities that requires students to read, cut, glue, write, and have a ton of FUN! This PowerPoint is a great way for English & non English speakers to practice speaking and reading about their emotions in Spanish. It consists of the vocabulary sad, angry, happy, and scared. You can also practice using: He is/She is, I am, I feel, I feel ___ because...., There are cute illustrations used from www.mycutegraphics.com by Laura Strickland (website gives permission to use) Teacher can use this powerpoint several different ways: 1. Read questions and sentences together. 2. Break into groups of two or more. Students will examine pictures and come up with a sentence to describe the picture. It can either be the same sentence that will pop on a click of the mouse or something similar. Use a point system to see can say the most correctly. 3. Print these cards out like flashcards and glue on construction paper. Then give each student a card. Teacher can say the sentence while others repeat. 4. Use other ESL strategies

Prepping the printable:

- Print the printable, laminate and cut apart to create the wheels. Throw in some clothespin or counters and you are ready to go!

- This printable can be used to strengthen fine motor skills, explore during morning work or used as supplemental math centers. The clip cards are skill-based, they are not thematic, so they can be used anytime during the year. The centers are best used once printed on cardstock and/or laminated. You can choose to implement these centers in an independent way or use with small-groups.

Students will look at a picture, say it out loud, and place the picture in a tree with the letter that starts with the beginning letter of what the picture is. Students will read words, define words or solve math problems written on 3 oz. bath cups to create pyramids. This fun-filled activity will get your students excited as they practice their academic skills as well as fine motor skills. You can store your cups in a Pringles can and use the three different labels for your cans. Students can follow up this activity by copying their pyramids on to a recording sheet. You can choose to write your words or your own math problems using a sharpie marker on the cups. This can be used for any grade level as your create the skills your student need to master. I've used 3 oz. bath cups which come in four colors in a pack made by Dixie. This way I could have up to four students working on the same skills from each can. The color coding makes it easier for each student to grab a certain color and begin working. Be creative and have fun!
