Paperless Morning Work Bundle With Questions, Pictures, and Videos
By Professional Development and Teacher Prep
Do you need paperless morning meeting slides or paperless morning work that is engaging, raises academic achievement levels, and lowers behavioral issues?
This bundle includes
Morning Meeting Questions (180 slides)
Picture of The Day (180 slides)
Video of The Day (60 slides)
Morning Meeting Question Slides
What I do each morning is display one morning meeting question slide. Every student responds and we have a discussion. These are higher-order questions that inspire thought-provoking answers. Additionally, I have built strong meaningful relationships with these slides!
"Higher-order questions put advanced cognitive demand on students. They encourage students to think beyond literal questions."
Picture of The Day Slides
We use a picture of the day every morning during our morning meeting routine. The slides are projected on our screen for all students to see. Students are asked to infer, visualize, synthesize, and create connections with the picture. Looking closely at a picture is an important reading skill for students to develop to create inferences about what they are reading.
Additionally, the Picture of The Day can be used for writing prompts or centers. Students can look at the picture and write a story based on the picture.
This is also an excellent resource to use with your remote learners as well. You could assign one or more slides to their learning management system for morning meetings and writing or reading activities.
“Morning Meeting is an engaging way to start each day, build a strong sense of community, and set children up for success socially and academically.” -Responsive Classroom
“Morning meetings are an excellent way to help students transition from home to school and help them get ready to learn. In addition, these meetings can help you connect with your students, help students build relationships with each other, and promote an overall sense of community in the classroom.” -Centervention
Video of The Day Slides
The Video of The Day is on PowerPoint and can be used every morning during your Morning Meeting routine. All you have to do is bring up the PowerPoint each morning and play the video on the slide. There are 60 EDITABLE and DIVERSE videos! This is part 1 of 3, and part 2 and part 3 have numerous editable videos as well! If you would rather use a different video one day, you can delete the video and add your own!
Students will infer, visualize, synthesize, and create connections with the videos. Looking closely at a video is an important reading skill for students to develop to create inferences about what they are watching. Therefore, the inferences they are creating about the videos will lead to connections and inferences within their reading texts. Students who practice those skills outside of reading will most likely utilize those same skills while reading. You will need to teach students how to do that throughout the school year with the PowerPoint.
Additionally, The Video of The Day can be used for writing prompts or centers. Students can view the video and write a story based on the video. The students may also write predictions on what they think would happen next if the video continued.
This is also an excellent resource to use with your remote learners as well. You could assign one or more slides to their learning management system for morning meetings and writing or reading activities.

French Science of Reading STARTER KIT Bundle-Bundle La conscience phonémique
By La trousse de Madame
French Science of Reading STARTER KIT Activity Bundle is a combination of Science of Reading aligned activities that I have created, designed, and classroom tested to bring you the best of what's in store. Do you get tired of looking for French Immersion resources only to find that there is too much or not enough?
I have bundled 7 fantastic resources that can help set you up for group work, paper packets, and centre activities so you can quickly get your students started. And the best part? You can start any time in the school year!
What's in the Bundle?
1. Decodable Sentence Strips that are ideal for hands-on learning. Students use the resource in clear folders and write out the phonemes, decode, and write out the sentences all on their own
2. French Phoneme Activity pads are sheets to print out, insert into clear pockets (or laminate) and students form blended sounds using CV sounds available on the side. Students start with /a/ and blend each consonant by saying the sound, tapping the sound, mapping the sound, and writing the sound. Excellent early practice for those just getting started with the Science of Reading
3. French Phonics Alphabet activity sheets are designed to get that each sound of the alphabet familiarized and into the daily lexicon of each student. This can be used as a whole group instruction activity prior to being given out. The students could each get a booklet for doing each sound as the year progresses, for morning work packets, or this could be used for extension activities for early finishers.
4. Decodable Texts are the first set of texts that focus on early sound patterns for those setting out to learn the phonemes in French. A great way to start out for K-2 Immersion students that are just getting used to French sounds. These texts include a target sound, a few heart words, a small text, and comprehension questions.
5. French Phonics Screener is my most downloaded item in my store and this full version will take you from Kindergarten all the way to the Grade 2 level in French Immersion as it includes complex sounds, complex vowels, and all the blended sounds as well. A comprehensive screening tool that take a few minutes per students so you know right at the beginning of the year, where you need to focus your lesson planning!
6. Pyramid Reading Cards 1 are a set of early reading sounds that will get your students excited and motivated to embark on the world of reading. Each card has one repeating sentence that students get to practice from top to bottom. My students love to do these cards in pairs as they sit elbow to elbow, knee to knee to read to a buddy.
7. Large Phonics Flash Cards are a MUST in the Science of Reading classroom. Once your students are able to distinguish sounds, they are asking to put the grapheme to the phoneme! So here you go. Large print. Easy font. Easy print. The letters are positioned for easy stacking so you can hang on a ring and flip pages quickly. Students LOVE to be the Mini-prof when it's their turn to try to stump their classmates. Once you have the single sounds down, it's time to blend. Printing on different coloured paper and laminated will help cards to last year after year!
I would love to know how you are using this product in your classroom. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have anything to say about this resource. I love helping teachers as much as I can. A product review also is a great way of letting me know, and leaving a review earns you extra credit for more amazing TeachShare products!
Who can use this resource:
French Immersion teachers in the Kindergarten to Grade Three classroom and those teaching beginner French students. Can be used at the Grade 4-6 level with Core French students learning to segment and blend complex sounds.
What grade level:
I personally use these activities with 1st and 2nd Grade students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from K-3 will find these most useful and teachers can come back to them year after year with their students. Core French teachers will be sure to add the resource to their repertoire for Grades 4 to 6 as they learn to read and write at the Junior level.

The Vocab Bundle - Finding Meaning Of Unfamiliar Words Using Context Clues
By Blooming Through High School
Word Meaning with Nonsense Words
Why teach word meaning through nonsense words (context clues only)?
All of these are things we want every student to do! This is something that is already adapted for high and low learners.
Starting with three nonsense words gets students going so they can work in groups or independently to decode the meaning of 7 REAL words (selected from the SAT vocabulary list).
This is a perfect activity for group problem solving and critical thinking!
Finding the meaning of words: in context, with a definition and from the Latin or Greek base. Four teaching pages are included for self-guided learning along with 7 student pages for practice with various shortened reading passages.
INCLUDED:
BUNDLE & SAVE: ELA Test Prep, Study Guide & Activities Bundle
Word Meaning with Greek & Latin
✔️Need to teach Greek & Latin along with Context Clues?
✔️Looking for way to get your students thinking critically & making connections?
✔️Need to integrate vocabulary in a meaningful way?
This activity includes worksheets, task cards and Google Quizzes for vocab practice
Students will use key words from the definitions in the first activity to determine the meaning of the Greek or Latin prefix. By recognizing the prefixes in words they recognize (and some they won't) students will begin making connections to other words they hear and read. This is a natural way to build in vocabulary to daily instruction that includes context clues and the Greek and Latin.
Included:
Vocabulary Starter
NEED TO TEACH VOCABULARY IN YOUR MIDDLE OR HIGH SCHOOL CLASSROOM AND YOU'RE NOT SURE WHERE TO START?
You came to the right place! I have been teaching for 5+ years, I have my Master's in Education with a focus on Literacy and I didn't know where to start.
So, I went back to everything I learned in my graduate program and re-read everything I could find.
I wrote & designed a student-engaging template to help students in my classroom to deeply internalize a word. I gathered key word lists when I didn't have a word from our daily reading, and thought about how to teach vocabulary so my love of etymology and words could be shared with my 10th graders. I've included all that and a guide to help other teachers get started with implementing and teaching vocabulary in THEIR classrooms.
Is this book for me?
Then this book is for you!
Adaptable to every classroom in every situation, this is more than a fill-in-the-blank activity. Your students will have a guide to build a vocabulary for a lifetime of learning.
WHY TEACH VOCABULARY EXPLICITLY?
Generating curiosity and delight in playing with words supports long-term memory, enhances the connection between orthography and meaning, and develops a disposition which stimulates word consciousness. It also builds vocabulary! All of these are a part of a vocabulary rich classroom environment.

Phonics Fluency Short/Long Vowels, Blends, Digraphs, Open/Closed Syllables
By Come Alive Communications
We NEED more phonics practice! But how do I fit it in? You can have the fluent readers you hope for with these Ready Reads Phonics Fluency Practice Activity Charts that provide quick, daily oral phonics practice. With step by step teacher directions, 186 charts over 43 lessons-this Ready Read Pack picks up where the Alphabet pack left off. This includes letter names and sounds review in isolation, and with words in each lesson. Skills covered are blends in context with CCVC and CVCC words, short vowel review words, the FLSZ Rule words, digraphs, long vowels in VCe words, soft c/g, compound words, word endings with -es, -ed, -ing, and words in open and closed syllables. This semester long phonics packet is ready to go saving you time and energy! These activity practice charts follow the sequence of phonics skills introduced in the UFLI scope and sequence in a sequential, cumulative way to support ANY curriculum. Previously introduced skills/sounds stay on the charts for 8 consecutive lessons before dropping off. New skills/sounds are added after you explicitly teach them using your curriculum. Students keep their eyes on these skills/sounds as long as you need them to while building mastery.
Perfect for busy teachers, these easy prep charts can be used immediately in every lesson to build those automatic readers you went into teaching for. The versatility in using them in whole group with a projector, in small group as a warm up to the day's lesson, in centers reading to someone, homework, or in reading to self, makes these charts a powerful tool in your toolbox.
Take a peek at my preview for a better idea at what's included. My Scavenger Hunt series couples perfectly with this resource to provide another independent center with the same content to create a comprehensive double whammy of practice. Individually, you can choose from Uppercase/lowercase matching, Initial Sound, or the CVC, Digraphs, and VCe bundle. How it works:
1. Before Starting:
Ensure students have already been taught the corresponding lesson explicitly. Ready Reads should follow the previously taught content in accordance with the Science of Reading principles, which emphasize systematic and cumulative instruction.
2. Using Ready Read Charts:
Whole Class: Display the chart on a projector or screen for the entire class to read together.
Small Group: Using printed copies, assign students a row to read. Students whisper read and follow along while another student reads orally. OR Side by side students work in pairs to read their line to each other while the teacher listens to each student in turn read.
Partner Practice: Students can work in pairs to read and support each other, holding each other accountable.

Individual Reading: Students can whisper read the charts on their own, practicing graphemes, phonemes, or word blending or for homework.
3. Adapting Formats:
Use an “I read, We read, You read” model. Begin by modeling the reading, follow with group reading, and finally allow students to read independently. All student eyes should always be on the text.
4. For Pre-Readers and Early Readers:
Guide them through the left-to-right reading progression to help develop fluency with the letters and sounds they’ve already learned. This helps in recognizing graphemes and phonemes quickly, setting the stage for fluent reading.
5. Grapheme and Phoneme Practice:
For Graphemes: Students say the name of each grapheme (e.g., “digraph ch”).
For Phonemes: Students say the sound each grapheme makes (e.g., /ch/).
For Word Blending: Students blend the sounds to say the entire word.
6. Using the Different Versions:
Letter/Sound Charts: In each corresponding lesson, the first chart is the grapheme/phoneme chart. These charts spiral 8 different grapheme/phonemes from previous lessons, so students will continually practice them to mastery. Word Charts: There are 4 versions of each word chart through lesson 41 and 3 versions from 42-68 : Word Charts through C each include a different set of six words following the skill taught, while the last chart features a serif font. It’s important to use both, as serif fonts (especially letters like “a” and “g”) can look different to students in books, and they need to recognize these variations instantly.
Blank Chart: Use the blank Ready Read chart to customize content with specific letters or words that meet your students' needs.
Ready Reads are flexible, purposeful, and easy to integrate into your literacy instruction!
You will love it because:
You will love that it is done for you. No more scrambling to provide daily practice that curriculum companies miss. You will love the versatility of being able to use them in whole group, small group, in Tier 1, in intervention, as homework, with a para, in partners or in read to self. Knowing that these are aligned to a trusted phonics curriculum in a sequence that makes sense puts teachers' minds at ease. Ready Reads fluency charts come in multiple versions so words or letters cannot be memorized for repeated use. They are substitute friendly and ready to go.
