Peer pressure is real and all too common! Teens constantly experience all kinds of peer pressure both in and out of school. Peer pressure can ultimately affect teens' decision-making. It's often hard to navigate difficult situations and say no, especially when there is a strong human need to fit in and feel important.
Students can engage in meaningful discussions about peer pressure using the questions in this resource. This resource includes 68 Writing/Discussion Questions related to peer pressure, peer influence, and risky behaviors. Introducing the topic of peer pressure in the classroom can open up opportunities for debate, critical thinking, self-reflection, and an overall better understanding of the impact that peer influence can have on a person.
Through these writing and discussion sessions, other important topics can arise and encourage students to reflect about:
▶ how they can navigate difficult situations and challenges with peers and close friends.
▶ ways to say ”no.”
▶ how to have difficult conversations with the very people they spend a great deal of time with.
▶ how to articulate their feelings clearly and appropriately in situations that make them feel uncomfortable.
▶ how to build confidence in managing their emotions in awkward or tense situations.
▶ how to handle challenging situations with a sense of maturity.
▶ how to improve social skills and behavior.
▶ how to communicate boundaries respectfully.
▶ how to evaluate best solutions in different situations.
▶ how to solve peer-related problems.
These questions can ignite intense student discussions and expose students to different viewpoints about peer pressure. It would be interesting to see how students think about certain issues and understand others' perspectives about what they think is the best way to navigate/handle peer pressure.

Anxiety is a common human reaction involving the mind and body, marked by feelings of uneasiness, nervousness, worry, fear, or dread about what's coming up or might happen. It acts like an internal alarm system, triggering when someone senses danger or threat. Lately, we've observed an uptick in anxiety among our students, especially teens who are dealing with various stressors.
While it's typical for teenagers to feel concerned during busy and complicated times, it becomes problematic when these worries take over their lives. Unmanaged anxiety can impact students' ability to perform well and handle everyday tasks with a sense of calm. It's essential to teach all students, not just those who are particularly anxious, how to effectively cope with their emotions and anxieties. This helps contribute to their overall well-being and gives them tools to navigate life's challenges more successfully.
This resource features 76 thoughtful writing and discussion prompts centered around anxiety. Designed to prompt students to reflect on the nature of anxiety, its underlying causes, and effective strategies for navigating challenging situations that trigger anxiety, these questions aim to foster a deeper understanding of the subject. Additionally, students are encouraged to articulate their understanding of anxiety. These prompts serve as a valuable tool for facilitating meaningful discussions among students, promoting awareness that enables them to identify anxiety in others and respond empathetically.

Boundaries are guidelines, rules, or limits that separates your physical space, feelings, and needs from others. Social boundaries represent physical and emotional limits that you don’t want people to cross. They identify a safe and permissible way for other people to behave towards you. Being able to set and respect boundaries is a crucial part of self-care and personal development that will serve your students well throughout their entire lives. Teaching boundaries and personal space to your students is essential in helping them reach and maintain successful personal relationships, increase self-esteem and awareness, and take responsibility for creating a life that they choose versus one they are simply at the will of others.
Introducing the topic of social and personal boundaries in the classroom can open up opportunities not only for debate and critical thinking, but also for personal growth and self-reflection.
These questions have the potential to spark engaging discussions among students and introduce them to diverse perspectives on boundaries. It would be intriguing to observe students' thoughts on various boundary-related issues and their understanding of others' viewpoints.

Engaging with these scenarios helps students build critical thinking skills as they explore potential solutions. Additionally, they can learn effective communication and conflict resolution strategies that are valuable both during the holidays and beyond.
▶ The scenarios are highly relatable to the everyday experiences of teenagers, helping them see their own challenges reflected in the conflicts presented, whether it’s managing family dynamics, maintaining friendships, dealing with relationship stress, or coping with their own personal issues.

This resource features 60 Writing/Discussion Leadership Prompts that familiarizes students with the different aspects of leadership. These writing/discussion prompts can help students explore what it means to be a leader in all kinds of situations further encouraging them to start thinking about how they can both develop and/or improve their own leadership skills and behaviors.
✨ You can use the prompts as discussion topics or writing prompts – or BOTH! It’s a great way to spark some interesting conversations about what it means to be a leader.
✨ You may also use these writing/discussion prompts to assess what students already know about what leadership means and what more you need to do to further develop their comprehension of leadership.
✨ You can also have students role-play some of the ideas presented in the Task Cards! It would be super fun to see how students would demonstrate leadership behaviors!
