If you are looking for a fun and interactive way for your students to not only discuss perseverance and what facing challenges looks like, but also practice the skill in a fun and engaging way, then this might be a classroom activity for you! Students will fill in the petals on the flower with words from the list provided or from other sources to encourage positive self talk.

In this product, students can complete coping with anxiety activities that include the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Activity where they will draw things they see, touch, hear, smell, and taste. Students can also complete breathing activities - cloud breathing, triangle, square, star, and dragon breathing activity. Students will follow the directions to inhale, exhale, and hold their breath.

Students will complete a gratitude scavenger hunt, where will they look for things in their environment that they are grateful for and students will answer questions about what they are grateful for such as something that they are thankful for that shows a vibrant color, something that makes them feel strong, something that they recently learned/discovered, etc. students will write about experiences in for which they feel gratitude and expand upon that experience.

A full MONTH of communication activities ready to go! Do your students love interactive and hands-on learning experiences that are also engaging and fun? Students will answer get to know you questions that will then turn into their list of items that they can potentially bring on board on their island adventure. The fun part is that they do not know that their answers to the questions are building their lists for the island. Once questions are answered and lists are created, they are put into teams to decide which items must come and which will stay behind!
