Firstly, there are six reading comprehension activities, or informational texts, about:

These activities require NO PREP and have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. This alphabet flip book is a fun and easy way to practice letter recognition, letter formation, and beginning sounds for each all in one booklet! This easy to make flip book gives students a variety of ways to practice learning about the letters. Each letter has its own flip book so students can focus on learning one letter at a time.

Pages Available

• A Cover Page for each letter
• Seek and Find: Distinguish between capital and lowercase letters.
• Find and Color: Color or dab the letter from among other letters.
• Cut and Paste: Either use the letters at the bottom of the page, or find letters in magazines or other kinds of print to paste on this page.
• Trace and Write: Trace and write the capital and lowercase letters.
• Beginning Sounds: Color the pictures that begin with the letter.
• Draw and Trace: Trace the words that start with the letter and draw a picture of the word.

The activities in this flip book progress from easy letter recognition to letter formation and then finally to the sound the letter makes. The teacher can differentiate the flipbooks to meet the needs of all students in the classroom. This bundle focuses on CHAPTERS 1 - 22 and Conclusion of We Beat The Street. EACH Chapter Packet features 5 inference-based questions that require students to demonstrate inferential thinking and a deep analysis of the chapter - beyond literal comprehension. Each inference-based question can be treated as an extended response where students must make inferences and support their responses, ideas, and/or analysis with evidence from the text.

► There is a "combo" worksheet, which includes all five questions on two pages. There are also 5 separate worksheets that include the same questions on a different worksheet. This allows for more extensive responses. You can have students either complete all five inference-based questions on the "combo" worksheet all at once OR you can have students complete each of the questions at different times: for classwork, independent practice, homework, or formative assessment - your choice! You can even give students different questions depending on their levels - excellent for differentiation.

► I also included a blank worksheet for you to generate your own question and students write it in the box!

► A detailed ANSWER KEY for the questions have been included. The ideas and evidence in the Answer Keys are accompanied by page numbers to help you facilitate discussion more smoothly and navigate to important ideas and events without looking for the information in the book. The Answer Keys are so comprehensive that you can even develop additional questions that will encourage students to engage in productive classroom talk!

► A 2-Point rubric is included for scoring with a section for comments and feedback at the bottom.
