AP Spanish Unit 6 La sobrepoblación Bundle
by Specialty SpanishAP Spanish® teachers: use this bundle of 3 authentic source activities to create a mini-unit about overpopulation within Unit 4 or Unit 6. Each activity includes comprehension questions in both digital form and printable versions. All questions are customizable to ensure that they are just right for your students!
There is an article, a podcast and a video. Each activity is accompanied by comprehension questions used to ensure student success as they make meaning of the sources. Also included are answer keys and a Goformative version of the article. Unfamiliar vocabulary is identified at the beginning of the comprehension guides.
Who can use this product?
- Students at the Intermediate level of the ACTFL proficiency chart or higher
- AP Spanish® Students
How can I use this product?
- Assign these activities for in-class, distance learning or for homework
- Ask students to discuss the information they gained from the sources
- Use small group or whole-class instruction to ask students to give opinions about the theme, to discuss if we currently have a problem with overpopulation, or if we even need to worry about overpopulation in the future
- Use the information students learn from the sources to ask them to debate both sides of the issue or to write an argumentative essay
- Works well with Unit 4 or Unit 6 of the AP® curriculum!

The accompanying comprehension questions are digital for distance learners and printable for in-person learners, and they are customizable to make them just right for your students’ needs!
Explore an opinion piece about the effects of overpopulation on the Earth and the humans that live on it. The video is in Spanish as are the accompanying questions. Overpopulation is a great theme to explore as a Global Challenge, or as part of the Science and Technology Unit. This activity could be a great source for a debate as this topic can be controversial!

A GoFormative activity is included as another version of this activity. The accompanying questions are digital, printable and fully customizable so you can be sure each question is just right for your students!
