By Sprout and Thrive
4.4E Division Arrays Lesson, Notes, and Check Your Understanding (worksheet)
Are you searching for a way to teach your students about division arrays. Look no further! This also comes with a Google Slides link to follow along on the lesson and consolidation notes.
This product is intended to be used in a classroom modeled after Peter Liljedahl’s book Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics. This product is a day’s lesson or two days depending on your class's needs.
Launch Script: This is the mini lesson. It should be quick, 10 minutes.
Consolidation: Wrap up the lesson after tasks. This is like a second mini lesson. Have students gather around and possibly walk the room to show varying strategies used by classmates.
Notes: This page is intended to be printed for students to write on and glue into journals or hole punched for a notebook.
Check Your Understanding: Students complete so the teacher can check to
see what the student does or does not understand. It is meant to go in a certain order so that you, the teacher, know where a student begins to struggle – A, B, C, D, etc. – down each column of Mild, Medium, Spicy.

Division Arrays Task Cards - TEKS: 4.4E
By Sprout and Thrive
4.4E Division Arrays Task Cards - There are 24 division array and equation task cards. They can be laminated or paper copy to write on, table scoot, homework, game board cards, or team problem solving. They can also be used in a building thinking classroom. There are three types of questions which are marked in the bottom right corner with a snap cube. One snap cube is a type one (mild) question – creating equations which match the array given on the task card, two snap cubes is a type two (medium) question – draw the array for given equation, and three snap cubes is a type three (spicy) question – word problems where students write the equation and draw an array. There are so many options to use them with. There is a free game board located in my store, Sprout & Thrive.
