Sprout and Thrive

Welcome! I am Melissa and have taught for 20 years in grades 3rd and 4th. I have taught all subjects, but have fallen in love with teaching math and science. Currently, I am teaching math and science in 4th grade and have found Building Thinking Classrooms. The amount of thinking that is going on in my classroom is welcoming! The thin slicing of a topic and concept has really helped students to become versed in their vocabulary, their skill set, and deeper understanding. The lessons and task cards you find in my store are with the idea of using BTC but can also be used in small groups and stations among other teaching strategies. Happy teaching!
