It aims to enhance students' visual literacy and understanding of persuasive techniques in political media through the 5E instructional model, comprising phases of engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, and evaluation. The lesson encourages students to identify elements like irony, symbolism, and the cartoonist's perspective, and to analyze how these elements convey political messages. Activities include group analysis, team presentations, and the creation of original editorial cartoons on global issues, with clear success criteria established through Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels.
