This learning resource is designed to guide students through a project investigating how human activities modify the physical environment and the resulting consequences. The project consists of three parts: exploring patterns of environmental change in their communities, analyzing differing perspectives on local development projects (specifically a new road affecting a park), and preparing an argumentative presentation about the ethics of oil drilling. Students will collect data through interviews, visual documentation, and research, encouraging critical thinking, collaboration, and informed civic engagement.
