  1. Feature

    Assessments

Build a formative assessment on your standards and see where each student stands on them.

Describe what you need and Ida drafts it for you to review. Ida points out the standards your class missed and the students ready for more, then drafts a reteach for one group and an extension for the other. You decide what goes out on Monday.

    Feature

    Pacing from your curriculum

Bring the curriculum your district adopted, and Ida helps you turn it into a complete pacing plan.

Upload your pacing guides, scope and sequence, textbooks, or teacher editions and start today. Or request access to a curriculum in the list, among them Bluebonnet Learning, EngageNY, and Illustrative Mathematics, and once you have it, Ida pre-fills your units, standards, and lesson arc. For a different curriculum, book a quick call and we'll set yours up privately in your account.

  2. Improvement

    Fixes

    • Copying a very long document from a share link no longer fails.
    • When a picture can't be included in an export, the export tells you which one.
    • The font size control works on answer fields again.
    • Ida's edits to resources in your pacing plan change only what you asked for.
  3. Improvement

    Launchpad is now Library

Launchpad is now Library, redesigned so your resources are easier to find. Everything is where you left it, and old Launchpad links still work.

  4. Feature

    A welcome for new teachers

Teachers new to TeachShare now start with a short welcome on Home, with a card for each way to begin. A First week list in the sidebar shows what to try next.

  5. Improvement

    Editor fixes

    • YouTube videos in a slide deck play in Present.
    • Cutting and pasting on the same page puts the item back where it was.
    • Copying text in the chat no longer copies what's selected on the page.
  6. Improvement

    Pacing planner fixes

    • Days you've already taught stay where they are when the whole plan shifts.
    • If one of Ida's changes can't be made, the others are kept.
    • Clearing the chat also clears its suggestion cards.
    • Ida sums up what she changed, and what she's proposing, in one sentence.
    Feature

Build a pacing plan from a spreadsheet

When you build a pacing plan, you can now upload Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx) along with PDFs and Word documents. Pacing guides and curriculum maps kept in a spreadsheet keep their units.

  7. Improvement

Ida tells you when it's ready

When Ida finishes creating your resource, she says so in the chat, so you know it's ready to review.

  8. Improvement

    Pacing plan drafts are saved

A pacing plan you start building is now saved as a draft as you go, even if you close the tab. It waits on your pacing dashboard until you pick it back up. Started on your phone? The link we email you opens the same draft on your computer.

  9. Improvement

    Minimize speaker notes

While you present, minimize the speaker notes window to keep it out of the way, or close it.

  10. Feature

    A new editor

Resources now open in our new editor. Older resources are brought over the first time you open them, and you can leave the page while that finishes.

  11. Feature

A lesson plan for every day

Open a day in your pacing plan to get a lesson plan for it, built from the unit it belongs to. Edit any part yourself, ask Ida to revise it, and export it when you're ready.

    Feature

    Generate as pages or slides

From a resource's menu in your pacing plan, choose Generate as pages or Generate as slides.

  12. Improvement

    Students can search their assignments

Students can now search their assignments by name and change how they're sorted. The newest assignment is at the top.

  13. Improvement

    Ask Ida to undo

Changed your mind? In the pacing planner, ask Ida to undo a change and it's reversed.

  14. Improvement

    Choose which resources stay

When a change to your pacing plan would remove resources, you now see the list first and keep the ones you want.

    Improvement

    Print student work without grades

In the Grader, Print All (no grades) prints every student's work for an assignment with the scores left off.

  15. Improvement

Line spacing on every question type

Ask Ida for more or less space between lines on any question type, and she'll adjust it.

  16. Improvement

    Reuse your school calendar

Once you've reviewed your school calendar for one pacing plan, reuse it when you build the next. Holidays and breaks come with it.

  17. Improvement

Coaches see the plans teachers build

Instructional coaches now see the pacing plans their teachers build on their own, next to the ones they assign, so coaching can start from each teacher's actual plan.

  18. Improvement

    See when each student submitted

In the Grader, hover over a student's name to see the date and time they submitted, in your local time.

  19. Improvement

    Remove standards you added

Delete a custom standard you added, or a whole set you uploaded, once you no longer teach from it.

  20. Improvement

    Pushed-back lessons fill open days

When lessons move later in your pacing plan, they fill the open days on your calendar instead of piling onto one day. If the plan needs more room, extend its end date from Adjust schedule.

    Feature

Publish to every section at once

Teach the same course to more than one section? In a class's settings, add the others under Linked classes. A resource you publish from that class's pacing plan is assigned to every linked class, each with its own link.

  21. Improvement

    Your recent work on Home

The resources you opened most recently now sit under the prompt box on Home, so you can pick up where you left off.

  22. Feature

    Paste your own standards

In the standards dialog, paste the standards you teach, as codes or full descriptions, and choose Find My Standards. Standards already in TeachShare are matched for you, and new ones are saved to your account.

    Improvement

Presets work when you edit a PDF

The presets you save on the Presets page now work on the Edit a PDF tab too. Apply one, and its grade level, standards, and student needs shape the edited resource.

  23. Feature

    Edit a PDF

Upload the packet you already use, and it comes back live, with its questions and answer key ready to edit.

Adjust the reading level, add home-language vocabulary, or apply accommodations. Your original file stays as it was.

Try it with your own PDF
A two-minute walkthrough. Turn on sound for narration.
    Feature

    Pacing plans

Your year, week by week, with units you can drag and a board that fills each day with ready-to-teach materials.

Publish the plan and each day opens with its objective. When the week changes, Ida proposes a fix for you to approve.
