The Miller Estate Challenge focuses on managing a herd of 100 cattle and determining the best production model to provide a finishing ration. Each animal requires 25 lbs of feed daily for optimal growth. The challenges include evaluating the suitability of either an extensive (Cow/Calf Model) or intensive (Feedlot Model) management approach to meet the herd's daily nutritional needs. Participants will justify their choice of model based on the scenario's requirements and reflect on their understanding of extensive vs intensive management techniques.
