This lesson plan focuses on teaching ESL students about ordinal numbers through interactive activities and real-world applications. The 90-minute session includes hands-on games, practice exercises, and opportunities for movement to engage learners. Materials like number cards, racing game props, and podium visuals help facilitate learning. Students will master the correct use of ordinal numbers from 1st to 20th and understand their significance in daily conversations, such as ordering food, giving directions, and describing family members. Activities include lining up in order, discussing scenarios in department stores, and planning a weekly schedule. The lesson culminates with students writing stories that incorporate various ordinal numbers into their routines.
