These graphic organizers require students to analyze three images related to the Great Depression and Dust Bowl and draw evidence-based conclusions. The differentiated version graphic organizer includes scaffolding questions to help lower level students analyze the images and write about them. The graphic organizers also require students to cite evidence from the images to support their analysis/conclusions. The graphic organizers are visually appealing and eye catching!

These graphic organizers are excellent for Do Now, unit launch, groupwork, homework, independent work, and/or research activities. They can also be used to set a purpose for listening/watching video clips used to supplement lessons. While teaching remedial math, I found my students were struggling with the "Characteristics" block of the Frayer Model, so I modified it into a triangle. I've included a point "UP" and a point "DOWN" version. They stack nicely with one another to create a unique WordWall.

of your choice.

This critical reading activity will have students analyze the Korean War from two different sources of information; each of which take a different position on the underlying causes and effects of this war. Engagement and organizing one’s thoughts is an integral component to this lesson, as students will fill out a KWL chart, along with a T-chart that serves to identify the main differences between each source. Class discussion and debate are promoted as the lesson invites student interpretation and opinion.
