Firstly, there are six reading comprehension activities, or informational texts, about:
- An Overview of Ancient India
- The Indus Valley Civilization
- Siddhartha Gautama & the Birth of Buddhism
- The Birth of Hinduism
- Ashoka the Great
- The Taj Mahal
These activities require NO PREP and have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. All texts then have an extension activity, a crossword and a wordsearch for those fast finishers. Answers, for teacher use, are on the final page of each document.
Then, there are two biography writing units about Ashoka the Great and Siddhartha Gautama. The units have been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.
Then, there is an informational writing unit about Ancient India. The unit has again been split into three or four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.
Finally, there is an opinion writing unit about who was the most influential figure from the history of India: Ashoka the Great, Siddhartha Gautama or the more recent - Mahatma Gandhi. This unit has again been split into three or four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Ancient Rome Timeline Close Reading & Writing Bundle | 3rd Grade & 4th Grade

Three great activities that would span six lessons and a great classroom display about Ancient Rome. Perfect for students in 3rd grade or 4th grade studying the Ancient Romans or famous Romans such as Julius Caesar.

Firstly, there is a great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to some of the key events from Ancient Rome. There are 25 posters or cards that include many of the key events from the time period.
Secondly, there is a close reading activity - children need to read through an informational text, and then answer comprehension and grammar questions, before completing an extension activity.
Finally, there is an informational text writing unit. The unit has been split into three separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. Ideal for students learning about Ancient Rome.

Ancient China Display Timeline Close Reading & Writing Bundle | 3rd & 4th Grade

Three great activities that would span six lessons, and give you a great classroom display, about Ancient China. Great for class work, distance learning or home schooling. Perfect for students in third grade or fourth grade studying Ancient History.

Firstly, there is a great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to some of the key events from Ancient China. There are 40 posters or cards that include many of the key events from the time period.
Secondly, there is a close reading activity - children need to read through an informational text, and then answer comprehension and grammar questions, before completing an extension activity. This now comes with a crossword activity to consolidate learning.
Finally, there is an informational text writing unit. The unit has been split into three separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. The interactive writing activity us ideal for students learning about Ancient China.
