Students will practice making 10 by using picture prompts in ten frames with hands on centers and worksheets with an acorn theme, perfect for fall time!
Activities Included:
Students will make 10 using addition with hands on math centers and worksheets. Each center features one card for each making ten math fact from 0-10, giving students a change to practice every addition math fact for making 10. There are two cut and paste worksheets where students will cut out the number and paste it to make each making ten fact true. A third worksheet has students write the correct answer to complete each making ten addition problem. All three worksheets include picture clues to help students solve each addition fact.
When to Use:
These worksheets and centers will keep your students engaged as they learn to make 10 using picture clues. The hands on nature of the centers give students a tactile way to interact with math facts.
Skills Assessed:
The worksheets are no prep. The teacher just needs to print out the pages and hand them to students. The centers are low prep. They just need to printed, cut out and laminated if desired. The clip cards and task cards can be stored in task boxes or pencil boxes for an easy to set up and clean up math center activity.

This candy corn addition activity is a fun and engaging hands on math center for students to practice addition facts using number bonds, tens frames, number lines or number sentences to solve each addition problem using objects as counters on math mats. Check out the preview for a detailed look at each addition mat available!
What is Included:
How to Use:
Depending on the exact addition skill being taught, teachers will choose one of the addition mats for students to use to work on each addition problem. Counters should be provided to assist students with solving each addition equation. Students will draw one math fact card and solve it using the counters on the math mat. There is a recording sheet available should the teacher wish for students to record the addition facts they solved.
These addition cards make a great task box activity. The cards and counters can be stored in the same box for easy set up, clean up and storage.
When to Use:
This candy corn addition center is a low prep activity for teachers to prepare for students. The addition mats just need to be printed and laminated for durability. The task cards need to be printed and cut apart.

Fall and Autumn Addition Center

This fall addition activity is a fun and engaging hands on math center for students to practice addition facts using number bonds, tens frames, number lines or number sentences to solve each addition problem using objects as counters on math mats. Check out the preview for a detailed look at each addition mat available!
What is Included:
How to Use:
Depending on the exact addition skill being taught, teachers will choose one of the addition mats for students to use to work on each addition problem. Counters should be provided to assist students with solving each addition equation. Students will draw one math fact card and solve it using the counters on the math mat. There is a recording sheet available should the teacher wish for students to record the addition facts they solved.
These addition cards make a great task box activity. The cards and counters can be stored in the same box for easy set up, clean up and storage.
When to Use:
This autumn addition center is a low prep activity for teachers to prepare for students. The addition mats just need to be printed and laminated for durability. The task cards need to be printed and cut apart.
