Diamond Method- Pre-Factoring Notes and Worksheets
By Modified Treasures
Do your students struggle with factoring? Students need to practice pre-factoring skills of using the Diamond Method. This is a set of notes and practice worksheets for you to print and go. My students struggle when we start factoring with a=1 or a>1 to find the numbers that would fit the requirements. This guides students in this process. Use this for pre-teaching, independent practice, or for math intervention.
Included: Two notes and three practice sheets. The first section for notes is when there is a positive number for a x c at the top of the diamond. The second section for notes is when there is a negative number for a x c at the top of the diamond. Practice sheet #1 is for a positive a x c. Practice #2 is for a negative a x c. Practice #3 is a mixture of each.

End of the Year Differentiated Addition Practice
By Science and STEAM Team
Do you want students to practice their addition skills? Need something bright and cheery for your room!? Plant a garden of "addition flowers!" There are 8 different worksheets to help meet the needs of your students.
These differentiated worksheets cover the following:
worksheets a and b 1 digit + 1 digit
worksheet c 2 digit + 2 digit no regrouping
worksheet d 2 digit + 2 digit with regrouping
worksheet e 3 digit + 3 digit no regrouping
worksheet f 3 digit + 3 digit with regrouping
worksheet g mixed
worksheet h single vase mixed
Each worksheet has 10 problems except worksheet g which
has 15.
I have students complete these at centers. When they have
completed the worksheet, I have them get the answer key
(which I have laminated) and a colored pencil or marker. They
circle any problem that they miss. They go back and correct
their work and recheck. When the problems are all correct
they can color the flower. I have them cut them out and
either “plant a garden of flowers” on a bulletin board, or I
make a large vase top at the lower end of my bulletin board
and staple the flowers so they look like they are coming out
of a vase.
THERE IS ALSO A BONUS POSTER FOR THE TEACHER!

3 Real-life Math activities for addition and subtraction of Integers, with keys
By Daniel
The best way to get students into loving Math is to do these activities as it shows the real-Life Math application at it's best.
This resource includes notes and a 62-problem tasks with complete key. Students should think about adding and subtracting in at least the following three practical, real-life ways:
Money - Positive numbers and addition is having money or earning it and negative numbers and subtraction means being in debt or spending money.
Temperature - Positive numbers and addition is temperatures above zero or getting warmer and negative numbers and subtraction means it is below zero or getting colder.
Number Line - Positive numbers and addition is movement to the right and negative numbers and subtraction is movement to the left. (You always start at zero and you do also count zero in the steps)
I have been teaching Integer addition and subtraction since 1994. I have tried every method under the sun - this method works best.
This resource works great as

This is a comprehensive poster on The Order of Operations. It comes with FOUR VERSIONS of the same poster formulated to PEMDAS, PEDMAS, BODMAS and BIDMAS. One thing that we find a lot of guided posters on this subject lack is an explanation of WHY there is an Order of Operations, and why it is in that order. We hope that this poster will change that, and give learners a deeper understanding of why The Order of Operations are so important as well as explaining the order itself.
