Here is our wordplay-themed Reading Log and Certificate Set! Our Reading Logs & Certificates are easy to print and ready to use. Once you and your young reader have decided on the amount of reading to be done, use a reading log to record the names of books, or the number of pages the child has read. When your reader has accomplished the goal, fill out this reading certificate and put it in a notebook, on the refrigerator or even in a frame to acknowledge the accomplishment. There are lots of different reading materials for children to choose from. Books are at the top of the list, but other reading materials may encourage reading and add an element of fun. Just for a guideline, some teachers and parents think that reading 200 pages = 1 book. You can adjust your reader's goals according to the level of difficulty of the material he or she is reading. This is a simple template for a quick one-page creative writing activity. Includes a space for either the students creating their prompt, or one given by the teacher. This is a preview of our play script for William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, which has been rewritten to be suitable for ages 9 to 14. A Midsummer Night’s Dream tells the story of four Athenian lovers who have a complicated yet dramatic love life. Lysander and Hermia loved each other and wished to be together. Helena loved Demetrius, but Demetrius loved Hermia, and Hermia’s father wanted him to marry his daughter.

Hermia and Lysander decided to run off together into the woods. But the woods were haunted by the Fairy King and Queen - Oberon and Titania, and the King’s mischievous henchman, Puck. The play tells the magical story of the eventual coming together of the four lovers, and Duke Theseus and his bride, Hippolyta.

This is a free preview of a play script for William Shakespeare's Macbeth, which has been written to be suitable for ages 9 to 14. Macbeth tells the story of a fierce warrior who meets three strange witches on his way home after a battle. The witches tell him that he will be King. At first Macbeth thinks they are lying but then he starts to believe the witches' prophecies.

He sends a letter to his wife, Lady Macbeth, who persuades him to kill the King and claim the throne. He does this but the couple find the guilt too much, and then the previous King’s sons come back for revenge. The story ends in death for Macbeth, as Macduff and Malcolm come to claim back the throne!

Make Mom a Queen for Mother's Day!

Feeling like royalty? This Mother's Day, you can make Mom feel like the queen she is with a crown you create yourself!

Here's what you'll need:

• Construction paper (shiny or glittery is extra special!)
• Scissors (adult supervision needed!)
• Markers, crayons, or colored pencils
• Stickers or decorations (optional)
• Glue

Let's get crafting!

1. Crown yourself a designer! With an adult helping, choose your favorite construction paper color.
2. Time to cut! Again, with grown-up help, cut out a large crown shape from the paper.
3. Now comes the fun part! Decorate your crown! Write messages for Mom all around the crown. What do you love about her? What makes her the best mom ever?

• "I love your hugs!"
• "You make the best pancakes!"
• "Thank you for playing with me!"

Sparkle and shine (optional)! Add stickers, glitter, or anything else that makes your crown extra special for Mom.

The grand finale!
