Dolch Sight Words for pre-primer, primer, first grade, second grade, and third grade

Engage your elementary school ELA students by using this sight word game to practice reading sight words. Ideas for differentiation and prompting are included to ensure the game is suitable for students of all academic levels. This game also includes five levels of word difficulty- from pre-primer to third grade level words. The sets of cards are notated with different colored inner borders so you can easily tell them apart.

Note: All sight words for each level are included, but the entire set will not fit in each game board as the boards only hold 24 cards. Before game play, decide which cards you want your students to use and make sure the cards in both boards and the word card piles match.

Students can use these cards to match two-, three-, and four-digit numbers with their base ten block representations, expanded form, and written form. Use the cards individually to create even more activities. For example, give students the three digit number card and have them build the number using actual base ten blocks. You can also give the students the clip art cards and have them write the three digit numbers or the numbers in expanded form. This scavenger hunt is a fun way for students to learn fun and interesting facts about Ukraine while bringing attention to the country & culture. Students can work together to complete the scavenger hunt bringing unity to the classroom. Activity pages at the end give students the opportunity to reflect and even express their emotions.

This resource does not directly address the current climate or war in Ukraine. This resource was designed to teach about the beauty of Ukraine and its rich culture. I have found many students have been flooded with information and images of the war from different media source. This gives students insight to what Ukraine was like before the war.

3. Literacy Center Fun: Laminate each flashcard and place them face up. Ask your students to find specific words, whether from the current week, the entire module, or the entire year's word set.

Enhance number recognition, counting, and understanding of number placement with our interactive Hundred Charts. This resource includes ten charts spanning numbers 1 to 1000.

The ten charts are as follows:

1. 1 to 100
2. 101 to 200
3. 201 to 300
4. 301 to 400
5. 401 to 500
6. 501 to 600
7. 601 to 700
8. 701 to 800
9. 801 to 900
10. 901 to 1000

This versatile game allows you to choose any of the hundred charts for practice, accommodating 1 to 5 players or teams. Select your desired chart and the number of players before starting the game. You can switch between charts at any time.

How to Play: (2 to 4 players or teams)
The objective of the game is to identify the placement of every number in an empty hundred chart. At the start, all numbers are missing, and players take turns revealing them by clicking on the empty squares.
During a player's turn, they roll the dice by clicking the green button located at the top-right corner. Clicking again stops the dice, revealing a random number. The player must then locate that number on the chart by clicking the corresponding square. If correct, they can click on their piggy bank to earn a coin, and the number will be marked as correct. If incorrect, a click on the square will mark it as incorrect. After completing their turn, play passes to the next player. The first player to collect 20 coins wins.

How to Play: (1 player or team)
The same rules apply as mentioned above, with one difference. If an incorrect placement is chosen, the player clicks on the hand icon, indicating a payment instead of earning coins. The game ends when the player collects 20 coins or makes 20 payments. Try to improve your record with each play.
Home, Go Back, Restart Game, and Exit

The four buttons in the top-left corner serve the following functions:

Home: Returns you to the first slide where you can choose from the ten different hundred charts.
Go Back: Takes you to the slide where you can select the number of players.
Restart Game: Restarts the game, including the chosen chart and number of players, erasing all scores and revealed numbers.
Exit: Ends the presentation.

Feel free to use it occasionally to tailor the quiz to your students' learning level. When you have organized the slides in a specific order and wish to maintain it, always press the blue button, not the green one.

Empowering Interaction:

To ensure a seamless experience, you may encounter a security prompt when opening the document. This prompt is to enable content blocked for security reasons. Rest assured, this content merely houses the Visual Basic code responsible for the green button's dynamic slide selection. We recommend accepting it to fully enjoy the game's thrilling randomness. However, even without enabling this content, the blue button remains at your service for manual slide progression.

Answering the Fraction Question:

• The question remains the same throughout ("What fraction of this shape is colored?"), but the colored portion of the shape changes each time.
• To reveal the answer, click on the girl at the bottom of the slide. A new slide will appear, presenting the answer in four different ways:
  • The shape divided into equal parts, with the fraction represented in each.
  • The addition of all colored equal parts (e.g., 1/3 + 1/3=?).
  • The result represented in numbers (e.g., 2/3).
