No! While I prefer to use The Beginner’s Bible Timeless Children’s Stories by Zondervan with these lessons, they are not required. You can easily use your own favorite Bible Story book, Scripture, or simply read the Bible Summary in the actual lesson that retells the Bible story.

Statement of Faith:

I believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. I believe that Jesus is fully God and fully human, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and paid the penalty for our sins through his death on the cross, resurrected on the third day having victory over death. I believe in the trinity, that God is existent in 3 separate persons - God the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe, as Calvary Chapel states, “that all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. •Organized three letters at a time, these are pictures of things that begin with each letter of the alphabet. These are small enough to cut out and paste onto the last page of the mini book. Very little ones – You could let them find the right pictures then you may want to cut them out for them. I would suggest printing them on cardstock. I used a color cardstock.

This resource gives you everything you need to teach Joshua 6 in French and to help preschoolers and kindergarten students to remember. Appropriate for language learners at novice high or intermediate low level or native speakers. The lesson focuses on the fall of the walls of Jericho as the Israelites obey God's command to march around the city and shout when Joshua gives the word. Students will learn about God's faithfulness to His promises.

Included:

• Story pages with color. I laminate these and keep them in a binder. I also print on both sides to save paper.
• Story pages in black and white, which are great for coloring pages
• A storyboard in color (great for booklets and to help students retell the story.

INTRODUCTION

Show the 5 Major Religions YouTube video or a video of your choice to introduce Judaism, Islam, and Christianity—the three monotheistic religions.

COOPERATIVE LEARNING READING ACIVITY

Students will work in group to complete Venn diagram or comparison chart (students' choice) as they read "What You Need To Know About World Religions" packet on Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

REVIEW GAME:

Review Activity—Bingo Trading Cards

Provide each team with a Bingo Card. Each team will work together to create nine open-ended questions for their Bingo Cards related to the history, beliefs, and traditions of each of the religions being studied—Judaism, Islam and Christianity—but will leave the answer for each question blank. Students will have 10 minutes to work in their teams to develop and insert their open-ended questions.

Once students have finished developing and inserting all 9 questions (one per box), the game will begin. This is not a typical Bingo game. It is actually not Bingo at all. Students trade cards and roll dice to determine which question his/her team will attempt to answer. Once answered, they trade cards again and so on. Very fun and effective review game!
