This packet includes the following types of activities for each individual blend:

• 2 word posters - one in color and one in black and white.
• 1 or 2 Cut and paste the word under the correct picture.
• 1 ABC order page
• 1 or 2 Write the word under the correct picture.
• 1 or 2 Circle the picture that matches the word.

Circle the Words: Once students locate a word, have them circle it to indicate that it has been found.

Write or trace the Words in the boxes: After circling each word, students should write them in the provided boxes, or trace the words already written in them. This reinforces spelling and handwriting skills.

Write a Sentence: To reinforce vocabulary usage further, students should write a sentence using one or more of the words they found. This encourages contextual understanding and application of the words in sentences.

Additionally, the last page of this resource is designed to be printed as a backside. It provides extra lines for students to write more sentences, allowing for further practice and exploration of the high-frequency words.

Practice R Blend words with these R Blend worksheets and posters. There a variety of activities to help your students learn the different R Blends. There is a set for each R Blend (BR, CR, DR, FR, GR, PR and TR) as well as a packet for practicing the R Blends altogether.

This packet includes the following types of activities for each individual blend:

• 2 word posters - one in color and one in black and white.
• 1 or 2 Cut and paste the word under the correct picture.
• 1 ABC order page
• 1 or 2 Write the word under the correct picture.
• 1 or 2 Circle the picture that matches the word.
• 1 or 2 Circle the correct word that matches the picture.
• 1 or 2 Cut and paste the pictures that match the words. Write a sentence using one word.
• 1 or 2 Fill in the sentences with the correct word. (With picture clues).
• 1 or 2 Fill in the sentences with the correct word. (With no picture clues).
• 2-4 Stamp It! pages. Two pages for adding just the R blend and two pages for spelling the whole word.
