Good Morning Greetings - Start the Day Right! Visual Signs, Poster & Letter

We all know that starting the day right is very important. Having a good start to the day can make a positive different on the rest of the day as well. This “Start the Day Right!” program essentially means that at the start of the school day students will be given a choice as to how you would like to start the day in relation to the Good Morning Greetings. This program includes the following six options:
- Saying “Good morning”
- Giving a High Five
- Hug
- Wave
- Fist Pump
- Handshake
This program will be a great way to build a sense of classroom community, unity, build rapport and a sense of connection with each other. To introduce this program into the classroom a student letter has been written explaining and introducing the program to students. There are visuals for each option included and you simply put the visuals on the wall and as you walk into the classroom students can choose which option they would like to use.

There are a total of 20 cards which would be a great resource to provide to parents to ignite some pro-active and positive parenting with their children. These would be great for World Kindness Day or Acts of Kindness activities.
The great thing about these cards is that they are versatile! You are literally only limited by your imagination. There are many ways for parents to utilize these cards. For example, print each of them out and put the in a jar. At the start of each day get your child to pick one from the jar randomly and read it allowed to them. They can carry it in their pocket with them all day for a nice reminder of how much they are loved. Or you can use these before bed, or include one in their lunchbox every day. What a great positive start to the day!

1. Select the PDF format – print it out for students (for assignment packets) or email it to students’ homes so they can print it out, complete it and send it back.

WHAT'S IN THIS RESOURCE:
Back to School Time! It's the first week of school and we can encourage kids to think about the future as they start a new year, with this fun puzzle packet. Perfect for anytime of year. Includes:

TIPS FOR STUDENTS – TeachShare DIGITAL ACTIVITIES
Note: TeachShare’s digital activities platform is still evolving, so some tools (such as the Pen) are tricky to use, and some features (such as zooming in) are not yet available. As such, when assigning our digital resources to students, consider sharing these tips that we found helpful:
1. Crosswords: It’s best to use the Text Tool to type the answers off to the side, and then drag them into the puzzle frame. To begin, press CAPS LOCK on your keyboard. Then,
• For words that go across: Use text size 14 and hit the space bar between letters (drag in)
• For words that go down: Use text size 10 and hit the Enter key after each letter (drag in)
2. Word Searches: Use the “thick” Highlight tool to mark words. Use different colors for words that go Across, Down and Diagonally. Words will be easier to see, and it’s more fun!
3. Match-ups, Mazes and Dot-To-Dots: Use the “thin” Pen tool – and don’t worry if the lines are a little wobbly.
4. Puzzles with Hidden Messages or Images: The colors described in the puzzle instructions may not match the ones available with your Pen and Highlight tools. You will be able to see what’s hidden even if the colors you use are a bit creative!
5. Have fun: Don’t worry if things look a little “off.” The main thing is to do the puzzles, learn some new things – and enjoy yourself!
