Back to School Color by CVC Word

Back to School Color by CVC Word puzzles covering short a, e, i, o, and u word families. Each color by word puzzle features 5 to 7 CVC words for a vowel family in two difficulty levels for 10 puzzles total. I've included both a picture clue set and a word clue set. In the picture clue set, students look at the picture of the word and then find the corresponding word to color. In the word clue set, students have the CVC word to look at and find the matching word to color in the puzzle. No prep! Just print and go.

Back to School Letter Sorting Center

Welcome students back to school with these fun letter sorting center games! Comes with two center games for students to sort capital and lowercase letters. In each game, students pick a letter card to place on the mat and then find all the matching letters.
In one center game, students pick a sun letter card and place it above the school yard on the sorting mat. Then they find all the matching letter students and fill the school yard with them! In the other, students place a chalk letter on the chalkboard and then place all the matching letter backpacks and lunchboxes in the classroom.
All pieces can be laminated for durability and used over and over in sorting centers. Comes with three different cards for each letter so students can practice with capital, lowercase, or both.

Glimmers Bulletin Board, Activities & powerpoint to Help kids find their joy!

Glimmers, which are the opposite of triggers are those moments of pure joy and serenity that light up their lives. I use the materials to share and practice glimmers with my students & after just 3 days back the kids have already started using the term "glimmer" when something brings them joy!
The word Glimmers originates from Deb Dana, LCSW, psychotherapist, and author who coined the term. Glimmers which is the opposite of a trigger are those fleeting instances that bring us warmth and peace, offering a profound positive impact on our mental health. With gratitude & written permission from Deb Dana, I'm thrilled to share these activities with fellow educators!
Materials Included:
PowerPoint: Utilize the included PowerPoint slide show to introduce the concept of Glimmers to your students. With 40 slides featuring real-life pictures, students can begin to recognize things that bring them Glimmers. It also helps create connection and shared interests, with their classmates.
