Time out cards to use as a non-verbal behaviour management resource in the classroom.

Why do you need this?

Time out cards can be helpful for teachers to signal to students when they need to take a break from an activity or situation, promoting self-regulation and preventing escalation of behavioral issues. By providing a non-verbal cue, teachers can discreetly address behavior concerns without disrupting the flow of the classroom. This resource allows students to self-monitor their behavior and provides them with a tangible tool to manage their emotions and actions.

Get to know one another!

After a lot of procedure time at the beginning of the year students need to get up and move. Get your students up and moving while getting to know one another. Students will choose their preferences to multiple choice topics and then get up and move to a corner labelled with the answer of their choice.

This could also be completed as a seated activity with choice cards.

These editable award templates are in PowerPoint form. You will download files in a flattened and secured PowerPoint file format. This format will allow editing and rearranging of text, text changes and editing font colors, etc. You can rearrange the lines and remove or replace the stars too. If you do not have PowerPoint then you can use a free on-line version at www.officelive.com - you just need to create an account.

You can change the font to whatever you prefer - I know I have favorites! The fonts used in the templates are free font. Potato Chips font and Poppins fonts are used and can be downloaded for free (personal use only) by clicking on the links.

The Fresh & Fun awards or certificates are designed to fit on 8.5" x 11" paper and can be reduced or enlarged at the time of printing if needed or can be printed 2 or 4 per page using your printer's settings. If A4 size is needed then you can adjust the template to fit A4 paper size at the time of printing by clicking FIT TO PAGE. Border-free printing will depend on your printer's capability and settings.
