This preschool monster unit will give preschoolers a fun and engaging way to learn with monsters, as well as to learn about the letter M. These monster preschool lesson plans contain a variety of activities that cover the alphabet, beginning sounds, preschool math skills, art, and so much more!

What is Included: There is a lesson overview that lists the activities with the subject or skill area the activity falls in. Art and Crafts Activities: There are instructions for creating 2 different monster crafts as well as a dot painting page for M is for Monster. Students will also have a cut and paste craft for creating a monster out of a letter M. Math Activities: Students will practice graphing, counting to 10, ordering by size, and identifying shapes. God Sends Gideon is a great resource if you are teaching or learning about Judges 6:1-24. Not only is there a summary of the story with colorful clipart, there are also several activities for every age. There are even study sheets to help teachers prepare for teaching the lesson.

Remind the students of the sins that people in the passage committed and how this was a violation of 1 or more of the Ten Commandments. Remind them that we also violate God’s laws and need Jesus, the perfect sacrifice, to save us. He took the punishment through death and rose from death. He is one day coming back!

Signing with Oliver is a story about a child who is Deaf and uses American Sign Language to communicate. He attends a residential school for the Deaf. He is looking forward to a Friday sleepover with his best friend, Derek, who is also Deaf and stays in the dorms at school as a residential student. The boys are so excited for their sleepover. In their neighborhood there isn’t anyone who uses sign language to communicate, which makes it challenging for them to make friends. In this story, students will read about the challenges that Oliver faces throughout the week, while he tries to follow the rules at home and in school so Derek can sleep over. Will he be able to stay out of trouble so Derek can sleep over?

There are 8 chapters in this product. The story is included in the first part of the product and another packet is included after the story that includes questions for each chapter. Vocabulary words, their meanings, examples of each word in a sentence, and an opportunity for students to use each vocabulary word in a sentence are included. Comprehension questions that relate with each chapter are also included. Students can complete these comprehension questions independently or in a group after they have finished reading each chapter. Some of the comprehension questions allow students to write about their own personal experiences.
