Students will learn about weather systems, temperature and how to prepare for weather emergencies. This Unit supports the Next Generation Science Standards.

Do I need to use a specific Bible Story Book?

No! While I prefer to use The Beginner’s Bible Timeless Children’s Stories by Zondervan with these lessons, they are not required. You can easily use your own favorite Bible Story book, Scripture, or simply read the Bible Summary in the actual lesson that retells the Bible story.

Statement of Faith:

I believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. I believe that Jesus is fully God and fully human, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and paid the penalty for our sins through his death on the cross, resurrected on the third day having victory over death. I believe in the trinity, that God is existent in 3 separate persons - God the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe, as Calvary Chapel states, “that all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, trusting Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord.” If you’d like to read more, you can click HERE.

This creative Autumn Tree Collage: Art Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on the big screen. For this assignment, I asked students to make an Autumn Tree Collage celebrating the joy of the Fall season. Students get to choose three of their favorite leaf colors to work with. Students choose where the leaves will be on the branches, falling, blowing around, etc. Students learned cutting, gluing, and placing (overlapping) skills during this 2-to-3-Day Art Unit. Students shared their artworks on display inside the Art Gallery. I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy!

This resource gives you everything you need to teach Joshua 6 and to help preschoolers and kindergarten students to remember. The lesson focuses on the fall of the walls of Jericho as the Israelites obey God's command to march around the city and shout when Joshua gives the word. Students will learn about God's faithfulness to His promises.

Included:

• Story pages with color. I laminate these and keep them in a binder. I also print on both sides to save paper.
• Story pages in black and white, which are great for coloring pages
• A storyboard in color (great for booklets and to help students retell the story.
• A storyboard in black and white (also a great coloring page or booklet) I often send these home with students so parents can see exactly what the students learned and maybe even retell the story with them.
• Puzzles -a 9 piece and a 4 piece. Another great way to retell the story. Simply cut the puzzle pieces out and have students put them together. Once they see the completed image, you can ask about the pictures and how they fit into the story.
• A counting activity (with answer key) using the pictures from the story. I love to put many skills to use. Students can count the objects and people and tell why they are important.
• A word search activity (with answer key)
• Joshua 6:27 flash cards for the memory verse. KJV but editable for a different version if you prefer
• Joshua 6:27 memory verse poster. Again, it is the KJV but editable if you prefer a different version.

1. How to prep:

I printed and laminated the story pages the evening before. I also printed the coloring page and the memory verse activity sheets the evening before.

2. I read the story pages. Students can color while I read to help them focus.

3. I showed the story cards (just smaller versions of the slides that students take home) to students and asked them to repeat as much of the story back to me as they can.

4. Students can put the puzzle together and retell again if there is time.

5. Students can also work on the word search or counting activity, depending on the age.

Why should I choose this resource?

1. The story comes from Scripture but is summarized for young learners. The Word of God is not compromised in the process.

2. There are a variety of coloring pages for students to do during the lesson to help them listen to the story but still busy with a non-linguistic activity so their brains do not have competition between the 2 activities.

4. Easy to understand instructions for printing

5. Colorful and engaging pictures to help tell the story for pre-readers or early readers.

This product includes tips and activities to help students cope when overcome with stress, anger, or difficulties. The emotions, gratitude and forgiveness and how to express both of these are reviewed in this product. Students can answer questions such as what are you lucky to have?, what is your favorite toy?, and what is the best thing you have done with your family? by circling them in the product. Resource Management is also covered in this product - what, when, and where to ask for help for self and others, and how to ask for help for self and others. Students will identify and express a variety of feelings, demonstrate the use of I-messages to express feelings honestly and effectively, and identify the words that are commonly used in I-messages. an I-message/statements sheet for students to fill out is included in this product, and a list of coping skills is provided to share with students. Students are also able to add onto the list of coping strategies provided. A coping skill bookmark template is included for students to draw/write down coping skills on a bookmark that they can look at in times of feeling stressed/upset. Building trust activity ideas are provided in this product for students to build trust with others they know well, tips for students to interact with school counselors, social workers, and school psychologists are also included in this product.
