Every time a child exhibits a desired behavior, you use a paper punch to make a hole in the card. When all of the holes in the card are punched, the child gets a reward. I know how crazy supply drop off/meet the teacher/open house can be for a teacher. A few years ago I created stations to guide my parents and students around my room to drop off their supplies. This K to 5th grade inventory sheet is great for the beginning of the year as a "math get to know your kids". Is also one if the good first day of school activities. A great way to know how your students feel about math (by coloring fun emojis) at the first week of school, and to better understand your kids attitudes and beliefs about math .. Questionnaires and surveys help provide a smooth transition into establishing school appropriate behavior on the first day.
