This free anchor chart is very helpful for your science classroom display. It shows the different types of materials and whether light can pass through them or not.

Use this banner to select a student weekly. I hang ribbon under the banner and clip the child's name to it. I also teach two sections so I actually hang two ribbons! The kids love seeing who will be selected each week! I try not to base the student of the week on grades and try to focus more on improvement shown, effort, etc. I give each child a small certificate that they can take home, and the best part is that they also get to visit the treasure chest! Hope you find it helpful in not only managing classroom behavior but also in improving student morale!
