This fun and interactive Would You Rather printable activity is the perfect icebreaker activity, get to know you game, or brain break to help students get comfortable and ready to learn.

Get your students talking with this fun get-to-know-me icebreaker game that challenges students to think about what they do and do not like. This is perfect for small groups, individual sessions, shy students, reluctant students, long field trip rides, to fill time gaps, or with students you just want to play a fun game with!!

Combine movements, such as frog jumps for this answer and jumping jacks for that answer, and this makes for the perfect activity for indoor recess, before lessons, as conversation starters,  or when emotions are high and students to time to regulate.

This digital download contains both a flip book for students (a simplified guide just for students) as well as a corresponding teacher's guide that goes hand in hand with what the students are seeing, too! This resource provides teacher's guidance on how to ask specific questions depending on the emotions of a student, as well as provides potential helpful strategies for the student to work through the feelings.

The thing I love most about this resource is the connection that it can create within your classroom. Teachers are not always able to take away whatever may be causing challenges for their students, but they are always able to offer help and support. This resource is designed to help teachers navigate those conversations and offer that extra support where it may be needed, while also giving students ideas on how to work through how they might be feeling. When students are having big feelings - they aren't ready to learn. It is important to take the time to work through those feelings to create a more productive and supportive learning environment for all - without dismissing any feelings, but still moving forward with our learning!

This is a creative activity to help foster connection and create a sense of unity and “togetherness” within the family. Learning healthy self-care habits can start at an early age and the good news? It’s never too late to start learning about the importance of taking care of yourself. From making yourself a hot chocolate, running a bath or even dancing to your favourite singer. These can all be positive and healthy self-care habits.

The important thing to remember is what is self-care for you might NOT be self-care for someone else. Self-care is about meeting your needs. As a family however, it is important to consider the needs and preferences of the whole family as well so you can create a menu of options that as a family you can do “together”.

In this activity you will be creating your “family togetherness tea”. A cup full of self-care habits and strategies that as a family create a stronger bond of love and unity.

All family members are encouraged to participate and provide valuable contribution by expressing their self-care needs. Collectively the family creates some go-to self-care strategies to help strengthen the family.

Although not all self-care strategies will be everyone's “cup of tea” (so to speak) being more aware of everyone's needs, likes and preferences can provide a lot of insights and allow for opportunities for connection and communication, family cohesion and togetherness.

School readiness refers to whether a child is ready to make an easy and successful transition into school. The development of school readiness skills allows school teachers to expand and further develop a child’s skills in the specific areas of social interaction, play, language, emotional development, physical skills, literacy and fine motor skills.

Without these basic skills already established upon entry to school, children can very quickly find themselves playing ‘catch up’ compared to their peers that are advancing more quickly. This is a great 12 page handout which explores various building blocks which are important for school readiness. These include areas such as self regulation, sensory processing, receptive and expressive language, executive functioning, personal selfcare, social skills, mobility skills, concentration and attention. This resource includes a letter to parents to explain that although these school readiness skills are great, they definitely not the be all and end all.

Sets of kid's favorite kindness coloring bookmarks with cute animals and bees.

These could be colored and given out as cards, to celebrate any occasion, such as Valentine's Day, Random Acts of Kindness Day, 100th day, anti-bullying, and more.

Ideas on using coloring bookmarks:
