This Ocean Themed Bundle includes four exciting activities, each designed to promote hands-on learning while keeping students engaged with ocean-themed fun:

1. Write the Room: Students will search the room for 12 ocean-themed images and record their findings on one of four tracking sheets. Two options are available for early learners with images and two with primary lines for more advanced learners.
2. Lacing Cards: Featuring ocean animals, these lacing cards have easy-to-punch holes for students to thread a string or lace through, building their fine motor skills.
3. Cut and Paste Crafts: Students will cut out pieces of ocean-themed objects and glue them together, creating fun crafts while improving their scissor and gluing skills.
4. Play Dough Mats: Each mat displays an ocean object that students will replicate using play dough, with an "I Can" statement at the bottom to encourage skill-building.
5. Three Part Cards Sorting Activity: There are two forms of flashcards included students will match. One card has the image and name on it and then other form of card has the image on one part and the name on a separate part.

How the Product is Used:
Teachers can easily prepare these activities by printing each component on 8.5x11 sheets. For the Write the Room activity, the images are placed around the room for students to find and identify. The Lacing Cards just need their holes punched for threading. The Cut and Paste Crafts are printed and ready to be cut out and assembled by students. Hangman Game for Halloween with 20 words to practice spelling, reading, and vocabulary, and have fun at the same time! Ideal for both distance and in-person learning.

Players must guess the letters of the mysterious word one by one. Each time a player suggests a letter, click on it to check if it appears in the word. If it does, all occurrences of that letter in the word will be revealed.

Every time a player guesses a letter incorrectly, a part of the hangman is drawn (the head, body, arms, and legs).

The game ends when the players correctly guess the mysterious word before the hangman drawing is completed or when the entire hangman drawing is completed (indicating that all attempts have been exhausted).

The 20 words to be guessed are as follows:

- Halloween

- Vampire

- Pumpkin

- Trick or treat

- Costume

- Nightmare

- Spooky

- Scary

- Death

- Zombie

- Broomstick

3. Use them as a Literacy Center. Laminate each flashcard. Place them face up and ask your students to find a specific word. You can do that only with the words of that week, with the words of a module, or with the whole set of words of the year.

Teach and learn 300 HMH Spelling Words with these no-prep worksheets. Practice 6 Spelling Words each week for the first 15 weeks, and 10 Spelling Words a week for the next 21 weeks. There is a total of 36 weeks.

There is one 6-words roulette in every worksheet for weeks 1 to 15. In weeks 16 to 36, there are two 5-words roulettes.

You will get two 36-pages PDF files:

1. One to use as a center. It has the Title instead of the Name and Date field.
2. One to use as a worksheet. It has a Name and Date field instead of the title.

Directions for the worksheets: Take a pencil and a paper clip and use them as a spinner. Write the spun words in the table boxes with a pencil or just color the boxes. Keep going until one of the words wins. Write the winning words on the bottom.

Directions for the centers: Take a pencil and a paper clip and use them as a spinner. Color in the boxes for the words spun. Keep going until one of the words wins. Write the winning words on the bottom.

-As the centers are laminated and the students use erasable markers in them, they won't be able to write the words. Just ask them to color the boxes instead.

This I spy´´ game is part of a set with multiple ways to teach and learn 300 HMH First-grade Spelling words.

300 words in 36 weeks.

• 6 words each week from weeks 1 to 15
• 10 words each week from weeks 16 to 36

Some possible activities you could do with this resource:

1. I Spy Game. Hide flashcards around the classroom for students to find and write on one of the two available worksheets*.
2. Dictate the words on the flashcards in random order and have the students write them on one of the two available worksheets*.
3. Use them as a Literacy Center. Laminate each flashcard. Place them face up and ask your students to find a specific word. You can do that only with the words of that week, with the words of a module, or with the whole set of words of the year.

*Two available worksheets:

1. Fill in the blocks with each letter's size and length.
2. Write the words on the blank lines with the corresponding words.
