HUGE BUNDLE of Adapted Books (holidays, counting, seasons, animals, & more!)
By Until the Pieces Fit
THIS IS A HUGE BUNDLE of Adaptive Books! This huge bundle includes adapted books for all holidays, counting, colors and much more!
Right now there are 40 sets of adapted books included in this set worth $208.00! Each set includes multiple books giving you approximately 106 books to use with your students! PLUS, as I make additional books I just throw them into this set! These books will provide additional support and resources to your classroom all school year!
What is included?
This set includes a plethora of resources and it will keep you busy throughout the school year! I have included animals, holidays, counting, shapes, colors and more.
While many sets are made with the early literacy / early math skills in mind there are also books that can be used as your students grow their skills. I have even my biggest sellers are included in this massive bundle of 40 products!
Why Adapted books?
I personally love using adapted books. I have found them to be motivating to even my most reluctant learners. They are a great resource for such a wide range of learners as well as I can easily modify my instruction for the needs of each student.
I have used them with students who are just learning to sit in their seats and follow directions. Adapted books can easily be modified for students by providing less visual options.
I have also used them with student who are reluctant learners. They may already be confident in the skills presented in the books, however benefit from a learning activity they know they will do succeed with. It is a great starting activity!
Do you have a student who is working on identifying "wh" questions? Place a post it note over picture on each page. Read, ask the "wh" question, and your student can check their answer by checking under the post it note.
Once I have my books prepared they are sturdy, easily cleaned & stored. I store mine in a crate that supports hanging folders. They are sorted by topic and easy to grab and go. We use them in stations, with substitutes, my classroom aides, and when student want to read with peers. They are often requested as well!
How are they prepared?
These books do require some prior prep work. Once they have been created however they are able to be used year after year with a variety of students. I generally print, laminate, bind and velcro them so they can be reused. The adaptive books are designed with students ability to interact with learning material. Each book has interactive icons. Students will have options of 8-10 choices for each story.
So, why wait?

Winter Craft Handprint Activity - Winter Craftivity - Kindergarten Art
By The Chatty Kinder
Looking for a fun and easy, low-prep Kindergarten Winter Craftivity for your preschoolers and kindergarteners? This Winter Handprint Art Craftivity is the perfect art activity for your learners this winter season! This cute and simple winter handprint art activity is such a fun and hands-on experience for kindergarteners and preschoolers.
Creating winter objects using handprints is a great way for learners to express their creativity and imagination with this simple handprint art craft activity. Since learners will have to deal with the paint directly this is a great sensory activity for learners as well, as they explore the texture of the paint with their senses while doing the activity.
How can learners benefit from this activity?
- Fun and hands-on.
- Allows learners to express their creativity in a fun way.
- Gives learners a lot of freedom, great for learners who like open ended exploration and activities.
- Great sensory activity for learners to explore and get used to the texture and feeling of the paint.
- Fun keepsake for learners to celebrate the winter season.
What does this printable include?
There are a total of 8 winter themed objects included in this printable.
This printable includes 3 versions of this winter handprint art activity!
- Pages with handprints on it, can be used a guide for learners to know where to place their handprint.
- Blank pages where learners will have more freedom and will be able to showcase their creativity in making the winter objects.
- Completed versions, which can be used to give learners an idea of what they need.
How do learners do this winter handprint activity?
- Print out the pages you'd like learners to do for this activity. Choose either the guided or blank version depending on how open-ended you'd like this activity to be or depending on your learners.
- Provide learners with paint, you can get learners to paint their own hands with paint. Alternatively, provide learners with trays of 1 to 2 colors filled with a thin layer of paint, they will dip their palms into the paint.
- Learners will then place their palms onto the page to stamp their handprint and create their winter handprint project.
- They can trace the word on the page if required.
- Leave the pages up to dry completely before giving it back to your learners.
This is a fun activity, but can get rather messy, so make sure your learners are aware of what they are doing so it does not get out of control. Keeping only a couple of trays of paint for learners to dip their palms into would definitely help with reducing the mess.
I hope your learners love and have fun with this Winter Handprints Art Activity as much as my learners loved it! If so, please do let me know by leaving a review below!
