Arthur's Off to School is a great book for students to read to discuss a morning routine, to discuss similarities and differences between friends, being responsible, being a good friend, brother, and sister, etc. Students are presented with a variety of comprehension questions based on what happens in the book, Arthur's Off to School. Students can answer these questions as the book is read to them, as they read the book independently or they can use the text for lookbacks once the book is finished.

Arthur Jumps into Fall is a great book for students to read to discuss what they can do in the fall, learn about responsibility, do chores around the house, and have fun with friends, etc. Students are presented with a variety of comprehension questions based on what happens in the book, Arthur Jumps into Fall. My students LOVE storyboards! They are a great resource for introducing basic story elements and summarizing, I use colorful file folders or large manila/construction paper. There are illustrations to color which are surrounded by dotted lines to make cutting easier. Students LOVE to get up and move around the room. With this resource, children can grab a clipboard or folder and move around the room writing words they find that relate to bat facts they have learned. They take those words and write an informative story. They have "bat" words to help them along the way. Sixteen word strips are provided. Just print, laminate (if you wish) and post them in obvious places around the classroom. I have also included seven Bat Facts posters you can print to display.
