Students respond to several statements that challenge or support their preconceived ideas about key concepts as well as their peers’ ideas. The Anticipation Guides can help structure meaningful conversations that reviews what students already know and engages them in critical thinking about the topic they will be exploring. ⭐ *Part 2: *The second section of the Anticipation Guide prompts students to choose a statement from the list above and delve into its significance to them. They may reflect on how the statement connects to their own lives, share a personal experience related to it, or elaborate on their thoughts concerning its importance in greater detail.

This resource includes a single Social Cues Self-Assessment. Students will use social cues statements to reflect on their ability to recognize, interpret, and respond to nonverbal signals in everyday social situations. They will score the statements using the following scale: 2 for “Regularly,” 1 for “Occasionally,” and 0 for “Never.”
Students will use this assessment as a tool to recognize strengths, spot areas for growth, and build stronger, more empathetic communication skills.
