Build A Bundle for Georgianne B
By Geography & Math Made Easy
Georgianne, thank you for your purchase and interest in these high-level, fun learning activities. I hope this saves you much time in the planning process. There is always some prep for the lessons, but most everything is done for you: printable (not worksheets; they are printable the students use to interact ), introduction, list of materials needed, objectives, process, closure, etc.
Once you open the zip file, you will see all the lessons. Some are PDFs and others are zip files that you must open up to obtain all the parts to the lesson. i.e Push and Pull Factors is a zip file. Once opened, you will be able to access the Powerpoint, Pdf Lesson, etc. This is a very larger file, so it make take some time to download. If you have any questions or issues downloading, I sent you my email in the Question response.
Once you use these in your classroom, please take the time to provide feedback.
Thank you.

Go Fish / 7 Families Game - I AM STATEMENTS - English

Go Fish / 7 Families Game - I AM STATEMENTS - English
Go Fish / 7 Families - This classic card game is fun for students of all ages! Looking for easy prep literacy activities for independent work during differentiated reading instruction? This version of the game is for practicing I AM + ADJECTIVE and is excellent for ESL. Play this game along with my Dots & Boxes activity to provide differentiation, or save money and buy the bundle!
Each of the 7 "families of cards" begins with one of the following, and verbs in the present tense are used in the I - YOU - HE - SHE - WE - THEY forms:
The following adjectives are used in this game: THIRSTY - HUNGRY - AFRAID - HOT - COLD - RIGHT - WRONG
Includes:
42 playing cards to print on heavy paper or card stock
How to play
This card game is an excellent way to practice and memorize the verb TO BE and the I AM + ADJECTIVE construction. It will have your students speaking to each other in English the whole time! They will make affirmative and negative statements about what they can and can't do.
One player distributes five cards to each player (2 to 4 per group). The rest of the cards are placed in a stack in the middle. One player begins the game by asking another player to give him a card. He or she might say, "Do you have I AM HUNGRY?"
The goal is to come up with 7 complete families. The different verbs represent the families. There are 6 cards to a family (I - YOU - HE - SHE - WE - THEY). Students will find it helpful to group together the cards that have the same picture at the top (flower, flip-flops, etc.) If the player doesn't have it, he says "Go fish". If he draws the card that he asked for, he can continue to play and ask someone for another card. Each time a player comes up with all six members of a family, he can make a stack. At the end of the game, the player with the most sets of families wins!
