Diamond Method- Pre-Factoring Notes and Worksheets
By Modified Treasures
Do your students struggle with factoring? Students need to practice pre-factoring skills of using the Diamond Method. This is a set of notes and practice worksheets for you to print and go. My students struggle when we start factoring with a=1 or a>1 to find the numbers that would fit the requirements. This guides students in this process. Use this for pre-teaching, independent practice, or for math intervention.
Included: Two notes and three practice sheets. The first section for notes is when there is a positive number for a x c at the top of the diamond. The second section for notes is when there is a negative number for a x c at the top of the diamond. Practice sheet #1 is for a positive a x c. Practice #2 is for a negative a x c.
