Graphical Representations Project - Application Assessment

This project focuses in on students abilities to collect and represent their data, with ownership tied in by making it easy to represent their homes. Students will collect and display their data in a brochure format by pretending to be marketing managers for their locations!
Teachers can also choose a variety of locations (make it video game themed perhaps!) to help excite students.
Great to tie-cross curricular with writing goals!

Students get to obtain the line of best fit for 4 different world records. They use these lines to make predictions of when these records will reach certain milestones. They also make exciting predictions of what the record for these events will be in the year 2050.

It helps students to discover e by themselves and to apply it in the well known PERT-formula. They apply their knowledge of logs, ln and e in a worksheet with real-life financial problems with balances being boosted with more investments and depleted by withdrawals.
