Feeling Uncomfortable Social Story and Role-Playing Scenarios

This product includes 1 social story that focuses on feeling uncomfortable. Students will learn the meaning for the words feeling uncomfortable, feeling discomfort, feeling uneasy, being awkward, worrying, feeling restless, and advocating for yourself.
In the social story that is included in this product that relates with feeling uncomfortable, what feeling uncomfortable, how you feel discomfort or feel uneasy about something and what one can do when in this situation, the importance of advocating for oneself even though they may feel uncomfortable, examples of how someone can advocate for themselves if they feel uncomfortable and the importance in doing so, why it is important to advocate for yourself even if it makes you uncomfortable, and why advocacy can be challenging.
The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. At the end of this product, there are 4 role-playing scenario cards that will require students to discuss how they feel when they are feeling uncomfortable and what each character feels in each situation and why, what the character can do to feel better about the given situation, what the student would do if they were in that situation, etc.

This product includes 1 social story that focuses on being misunderstood. Vocabulary that is reviewed and discussed in depth include misunderstood, communication, judge, feeling insecure, anxiety, depression, positive self-esteem, and negative self-esteem.
Students will learn about feeling misunderstood, how someone could feel misunderstood, what can cause someone to feel misunderstood, how someone feels when they have positive self-esteem, how someone feels when they have negative self-esteem, how to build self esteem, and if someone feels misunderstood how they would feel.
One social story that focuses on feeling misunderstood is included in this product. The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. This product shares with students the importance of communicating how one feels when they feel misunderstood, listening to others, understanding others point of view or feelings, and discussing interests that are different amongst friends/family members.
At the end of the product, you will find 4 role-playing cards that relate with feeling misunderstood. Students can role-play each situation and talk about how they would feel if they were in the situation.
